Our Rev Gary Davis Weekend at the Fur Peace Ranch started out magnificently as it always does, this time with Ernie Hawkins, Myself and Stefan Grossman. Saturday, the David Bromberg dropped in and played a sold out show here… plus I got to sit in… always an honor.

This was another new one for us and what a killer gig it was in every possible way. Classy macro/micro brew facility with great staff and a fabulous room. Who knew? This was really a killer gig! Last night Barry and I played the Swedish-American Hall on Market St. in San Francisco. The last time I was here, it was to have Smorgasbord with my ex-wife… (May she rest in peace)… The late 60’s or early 70’s I would say. Well… this was a first time for us and Barry Mitterhoff and I had a great time.

Here is our set list:

Carson City And The Silver State

Boy, you can’t make this stuff up. My Mom used to live up on Talmont in North Shore Tahoe and I certainly feel welcome in these parts. We were here to play the High Sierra Brewing Company and play we did. Being jet lagged and all, I was up about 0300 so Barry and I had a chance to drive around and see some sights. First there was breakfast at the Comma Coffee House… actually we just dined there ...

Old School In Earlville

Yesterday we motored way upstate here in NY and docked in Earlville at the Earlville Opera House. The place was so beautiful and the good folks who run the place were so hospitable it just couldn’t have gotten much nicer. This place is a little window in time to a less complicated era… a good place to be. Barry Mitterhoff and I enjoyed the sound check so much, we could hardly wait to get to the stage.

Here is our ...
