Love Is Strange At The Fur Peace Ranch
Yep, I’m home and working on a wrap up for our almost two month tour. This should happen in a day or so. In the meantime, in the spirit of shameless self promotion, here is a broadblasting about my first class of the year at the Fur Peace Ranch. We have titled this class ‘Love Is Strange’ and I have selected a series of songs more or less in chronological order of composition. Marjorie Thompson will be my more ...

This morning Jack, Barry and Phil all flew to their respective homes while Myron and Chris and I drove the bus over a thousand miles today. Tomorrow a wake up an six or seven hundred some miles and I’ll be home. After two months on the road… I am really… really looking forward to it! After I’ve been home for a day or so, I’m going to write a wrap up. Keep tuned.

A TetraPak Of Gigs
It’s been a hectic five days… the blog takes time and I just didn’t have it. Anyway, the trip from Portland to Seattle started with a breakdown by the side of the road with repairs orchestrated by our driver, the incomparable Chris Seay.
We got to the Triple Door just in time for our last show with David Lindley.

The Aladdin Theater And A Day Off in Portland
Foto by Phil Jacobs
Last night we were at the good old Aladdin Theater for a sold out show with David Lindley. We are pulling into end of this great run with David. It has and will continue to be an honor and a pleasure to share the stage with him. We sure hope we get to do it again soon.
By the bye, the great Tony Furtado sat in with David last night which was incredibly cool.
Anyway…

Eugene And The Land That Time Forgot
Foto by Phil Jacobs
So, last night the guys and I and David Lindley were at the MacDonald Theater in Eugene, Oregon. Eugene has always been one of those very special places… and it still is. Ken Kesey’s spirit still infuses the surroundings and I find that othertime merges seamlessly with the present under the umbrella of his aura.
What a beautifully restored and maintained theater.

Every inch of this place is beautiful…
Meanwhile… downstairs in the dressing room…

Sacramento To Arcata
Foto by Phil Jacobs
Last night we were at the Crest Theater in Sacramento. This was another of our cool gigs with David Lindley… It is such an honor to be out with him. He is, quite simply, the greatest!
I ran into an old friend from the Benner Music Company… a place where Paul Kantner and I taught for a number of years in the early 60’s. One of the other notables back in those days, was Pete Grant who ...

How’s about Mama’s brand new toy?
In the dressing room at McCabe’s… we met with friends.

Then there was the Tower Theater…
The Tower Theater is beautiful… family owned since rocks and water.
David Lindley is quite simply, one of the best and it’s an honor to b on the road ...
