Late Breaking News

Full Moon 1

Us Fur Peace Ranch Folks were hiding out in Big Indian, New York at the Full Moon Resort for a week. The good news is that there is no cell or data service… the bad news is that there is now cell or data service. Needless to say, all the witty things I had in store for my blog went unsaid. Perhaps I’ll have a moment in Italy over the next week. In any case, David Bromberg and I held forth and taught and on Thursday night, Happy Traum drove up from Woodstock and the three of us got to play together… Now we’re talking! This is one of the many reasons I started to play in the first place… the dialogue.

Anyway, yesterday David and I drove down to the Great South Bay Music Festival and rocked out! David allowed me to sit in with his cast of wonderful characters… always a blessing! Then Hot Tuna hit the stage and this is what we played:

As always Jorma it’s good to have you and the boys on Long Island. With the full moon over head and HOT TUNA rockin, a good time was had by all. Thank You…
PS…Your new Drummer ABE….Another great smokin gun for HOT TUNA…

Jorma – Last night was incredible! The Great South Bay just off stage with a Full Moon Rising over the bay and Hot Tuna onstage – it doesn’t get any better then that – it was perfect. Thanks for last nights show. Every song was amazing. And out about 5 miles is the Continental Shelf where the ocean floor drops thousands of feet and where the Gulf Stream runs up the East Coast. That’s where the Big Tunas run. But last night two of the biggest and baddest Tunas named Jack and Jorma came ashore and played some the best music in the Atlantic, on the Earth and throughout the entire Universe!!!!

Brought my daughter Keelia to her first concert. She loved Hot Tuna Jorma, Jack and Abe were very kind. She now wants to take bass lessons. Her only complaint about the show “the cigar smoke gave me a headache” she said. Made her hungry too. Nevertheless, she wants to come to your next Long Island Show…and of course she requested you bring Zach! Hugs to All Kim and Keelia.
