Couples Weekend With The Persuasions And Lee Allen Zeno

fpr 1

There was a grand full moon last weekend at the Fur Peace Ranch as we were joined by Verlon Thompson, our treasured friend, the Persuasions as well as the great bass player, Lee Allen Zeno. It was Couples Weekend at the Ranch and believe me, a great time was had by all. The Persuasions played a simply magnificent show on Saturday night, and on Sunday, Verlon and I played for the folks and we were blessedly joined Lee Allen Zeno who provided lots of groove for us to rest on. Before the end of our little set we ‘persuaded’ the Persuasions to join us too! What a weekend!

The view on the way back to Hillside Farm.

Yesterday, my son Zach and Myron and I set our for Fairfield, Connecticut where we are now. Tonight, Barry and I will play at Stage One and tomorrow we set out for the Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett. We’ll be taking the ferry across the Sound, so I look forward to that.

More about Stage One later tonight…

    MEANTIME Art in real-time.
So distant from there i can only get electronic kicks and can assure You they do vibrate just as the same indeed. Midway betwixt a postcard and a postage stamp, Jorma’s shots built up a rare gallery of ‘Photos on the Run’ which is a photo gallery for sure, only that, walking in the imaginary midway of the gallery with these hundreds of snapshots to the right and hundreds to the left, passing at a certain distance, one thing rouse suspicion. And if they are paintings, instead? Just grab a canvass and paint that genial photo of the full moon, just identical, if you are good enough veilin’ the layers and set the white dot in golden section. If you do it, MOMA’ll call on the spot! The second photo has the sky by Turner and the meadows by Constable, exactly. A Basquiat in photo n°1 ‘Message from Nashville’? And Basquiat in Photo n°2 in ‘Beachland in Cleveland’? Magritte in the cow photo ‘Chiari and Home’? A detail from Bosch or Bruegel in the pans shot in ‘Faenza, We Are Here’? Richard Estes in ‘Telephone Booths’ and Jorma Kaukonen in ‘Lobby Action’ concert held in ‘ The Eternal City? Find your Wyeth in Jorma’s Gallery, rather than Hopper or any ancient paintings from China, modern paintings from the States, Rinascimento? And many paintings never painted yet. Jorma director/movie maker and Jorma actor are comin’ up soon. Art is the most serious of the works, it needs constant concentration and devotion and perseverance, to start with, then the rest. Transparent Pyrrole Orange Moonrise from the calm sea in Sicily at the horizon, they report, African bubble and 150° here in Milan I report, i love it Hot and Tuna! Have now my virtual off to ‘Stage One’ for sound check.
    Always Thanks Jorma!
    Peace Be The Journey
