L’Shanah Tovah To All 5772

September 30th, 2011 Jorma Leave a comment Go to comments

Vanessa went to New York to celebrate Rosh Hashannah with friends she rarely gets to see. Israel Love and I went the Hillel Of Ohio University. Like all the Jewish kids of the community, Izze was a part of the festivities and I played guitar on three songs with Carole Weiner. We did Shofar Blast, Ahava and our crowd pleaser from last year, The Yom Kippur I’m Sorry Blues.

This was the first time when it was just father and daughter at one of these functions and it was a milestone for both of us. It is early in the morning and she is still asleep. Soon I will wake her, make her some breakfast and walk her to school.

It’s going to be a good year!

Thanks Jorma for the beautiful Surprise. Chris Smither is phenomenal indeed, love him too much!
Great Galactic Year! Heard the voice of a Shofar from the pinnacles somewhere in the distance, I’m shivering sittin’ close to a milestone.

    Jorma,
So glad that you have made my song (The Yom Kippur I’m Sorry Blues) a hit in Ohio! Would love to record it with you sometime… and meet you next time you are in the NY area. You’re welcome at my synagogue (in Mt. Sinai, NY) any time.
May you and your family be sealed for a good, sweet year!

L’Shanah Tova to you and your family. Hope to see you again this coming year. I really enjoyed your performance at the Philadelphia Folk Festival. One of my favorite in the 26 years I’ve been attending & volunteering at the PFF.
