The Woods

Today started at 0430 for me. I had planned on going into the woods with my friend Ted. Indeed, we had Bambi on our minds and it was a perfect morning. Crisp… about 30 degrees Fahrenheit. We thought for sure they would be on the move. It was not to be however. I guess they were all in town doing some holiday shopping. When it’s not season, deer are everywhere… does and bucks. When your automobile insurance needs to be refreshed… there’s a deer there to do the job. Not today though.

Who cares? A beautiful morning in the woods with a good friend… priceless… for everything else there’s… well, never mind. Anyway, a great start to a great day.

I got back to the house, showered and got dressed and headed into town where Izze had joined the Tea Lady, Maureen Burns Hooker, at Kroger’s for a tasting of Izze’s tea… you know, giving away free samples and doing our best to jump start the economy. Well, don’t fret. if you couldn’t get to Kroger’s in Athens, Ohio today… you can go to the Fur Peace Ranch Company Store where you can order any of our delicious teas as well as all kinds of other great stuff. Plus, check this out. Anything ordered during the month of December will be shipped on us! Yes folks… free shipping!

Well, what a great day. Home for a change with nice weather. Izze and I are sitting in my little office over the barn and as I type, she is watching the Wonder Pets!

What great day indeed! I sure hope the holiday season is treating you all as well as it is treating me and mine!
