Tomorrow we’re off to Westbury for the last Electric gig on this tour at the Theater At Westbury. Coolness…
A last note on the music vs fart machine nonsense. Those who know me know I love yakking about stuff and stirring things up. Truth be told, the music business is not for the faint of heart. Things come and things go and we all count our blessings and do the best we can. We are so fortunate that we have friends who have supported us for years and continue to support us. Nothing can buy these blessings… so a heartfelt thanks to you out there who come along with us for the ride.
It really doesn’t get much better than that!
The ride continues…
Time to find room for an old Peavey as a back-up.
Dear Jorma,
I am a 12 year old girl that went to see your show @ Sherman theater with my mom and grandfather. I had a great time @ my 1st hot tuna concert. Although I was wondering what happened to jacks bass? But it is funny you posted the picture of stroudsberg foto because we parked right in front of it and I pointed it out asking my grandfather about it. My grandfathers first hot tuna show was 1976 were the recordings were later put towards a live album and he really loves hot tuna and you are his guitar inspiration. Thank you for the great show again!
Sincerely,
Leah
Hey there… glad you made the show… yeah Jack’s amplifier had problems… sort of a metaphor for life. We still had a great time. Say hey to your Grandad… we both remember photo shops. I can’t believe that one is still here. Be well.
Great show last night at the Sherman Jorma…somewhat shorter than I had hoped but great none the less. So did you ever get to that condom shop Barry mentioned during the show…I did..hah.. I was also there last year during your show…Stroudsberg..or is it East Stroudsbeg..an interesting town. Jack had technical problems last nite..I guess even the man in black has to exchange bass guitars at times…Was with my high school buddy for the show last night..good time..we first saw you guys back in 1971 in nYC….see you next time
Hi Jorma,
I think it is I who should be thanking you. Whenever my two lifelong friends and I seem to take time out of our busy lives and get together and sit around and reminisce about “Back in the day,” there are so many memories with you and Tuna in them…Like when Jack broke his bass string at the Palladium or when you and Denny Rocked out to Milk Cow at My Father’s Place. It was always about the music then as it is now. Good times indeed.
So thanks for the wonderful memories and the new ones yet to unfold.
🙂
K..since Dr. Joe is starting to lobby for some proposed acoustic songs…..ArtsCenter show……Genesis
Looking forward to Westbury tonight!!!
Dear Jorma,
It’s not hard giving Tuna our love and respect all these years!
You guys are wonderful musicians, as well as super cool, wonderful
People! I cannot imagine my life without Tuna in it…
So that being said, big big thanks and hugs to Tuna for all that you guys do!
See you on Saturday at Caramoor!
Stay Well
Cyndy
“Rocking the Sherman” indeed. Great show. Thanks.
Well said Jorma. Looking forward to seeing you all in Shirley, MA on Sunday as you switch gears from electric sets to an acoustic brunch. Would love to hear Watch the North Wind Rise or Vampire Women!! Maybe??
Yes Jorma, just that!
I wonder where we (Jorma and Tuna’s Fans & Followers) could ever be in spirit and body not we rode along with Jorma and the Tuna. I do not wanna go in front of that mirror. Jorma and Tuna’s disciples are the planets one can log over Jorma’s daily diary: an Epiphany each line, a big tree strolling through the Universe loaded with singing chirpiness, that’s how Jorma makes us feel every morning, go figure at night if we are lucky enough to be among those present at the service!
Steady As She Goes
Service speed Captain!
Peace Be Your Journey Jorma!
