An Evening In Jerusalem

December 14th, 2012 Leave a comment Go to comments

After a long dysfunctional flight from Bilbao to Tel Aviv (about 18 hours on that one) we got to the hotel about 0100 Israeli time yesterday morning. We had a little bit of time to walk about the big city later on in the morning checking out shops and posters.

Me and Zach on the street...

Me and Zach on the street...

I had been thinking about hummus at Abu Hassan’s since I first ate there two years ago. It was even better than I remember and well worth the table wait! Well, enough about food… on to Jerusalem and Zappa.

Yep... there's that poster again

Heard you in Jerusalem last night, was worth the stayin’ up late. “Thanks again” to you (and Barry too!) for having the guts to play in Israel and sing the name of Jesus. Keep on Keepin’ On!

It feels like home in peace to be far abroad and come across with those beautiful Jorma Kaukonen’s posters, a blessing, you don’t feel rambling alone and lost nowhere no more.
    Always more than thanks Jorma!
Rock Them High Your Way Tonight Jorma!

    Hello fellow Jorma fans:

I’ve been posting comments on the NYC/N.J. real estate website http://www.streeteasy.com
for years, writing about Jorma’s website and great shows at the Beacon; and most recently posting about the wonderful concert for Hurricane Sandy relief at MSG. (also asking for help with donations for supplies during my volunteering time in the Rockaways)

I had some trolls on my trail and just found out that my comments have been “removed”.

If any of you have a minute, please log on there, under any posting name you want, and ask why my comments ( posted under the name “Truth”)
are suddenly not deserving of being posted, while the streeteasy trolls continue to post abusive comments about me and my wonderful music biz friends.

Jorma’s shows at the Beacon deserve to be commented on as well as “Love For Levon” and the Hurricane relief benefit at MSG.

Whenever Jorma plays in NYC, he pays taxes.
Same for Larry Campbell , Teresa, Jack and others we enjoy seeing at The Beacon.

I’ve been trolled on so many discussion threads on streeteasy.com, by trolls posting abusive comments.
The taxes paid by Jorma and friends go into the big till in New York.

You all either travel to NYC or live here and every penny you spend for food, lodging and buying whatever you buy while here in NYC, helps the local economy.

Please speak-up for the Truth on streeteasy.com

    Thank-you to all.

Given the location Jorma, it would seem to me that you need to add True Religion to the set list.

From Spain to Tel Aviv 18 hour flight? One would think that should be 5 or 6 hours not 18, what happen there? I’m thinking you guys made a few stops…I know you didn’t fly Jefferson Airplane, they get you there on time. Okay, Okay I know that was cheap shot and I’m sorry but I just had too. Safe Travels, Peace.

Yes that would be true if it were just flying… think bureaucratic hassles. Anyway, in the end… it’s all good.
