Saturday, September 11, 2010 the Fur Peace Ranch host a fund raiser for the Southeast Ohio Red Cross. There was a lot going on in Athens that night but the folks who showed up heard a fantastic show from one of my favorite bands, The Infamous Stringdusters.

Here’s a shot of them during soundcheck. I love these guys and it was great getting a chance to hang out with them a little and get to know them. They invited me to pick a song with them during the first set. They chose Deep Ellum Blues. When one of the guys said, ‘It’s simple,’ I knew there would be more to it than met the eye so I went back stage to rehearse for a bit and a good thing too.

During set break I had to take Izze home but the guys stayed over at the Ranch so I got so have Sunday breakfast with them. Two of my favorite Stringduster CD’s are Fork In The Road as well as their new offering, Things That Fly. Check these guys out… Great stuff.
