A Ride In The Country
Yesterday we had our annual Pick ‘n’ Putt Ride here at the Fur Peace Ranch. A hundred and nineteen point six miles of beautiful Ohio countryside and stunning almost fall weather. The ride couldn’t have been better and the day just got better as it wore on. The show in the evening was me going on first and playing the following:
1. I know You Rider
2. Come Back Baby
3. Things That Might Have Been
4. Let Us Get Together
5. Death Don’t Have No Mercy
6. I See The Light
7. Hesitation Blues
8. Encore: I Am The Light Of The World
Yeah that was fun, but the fun was about to begin. Spencer Bohren and Bill Kirchen took the stage and were outstanding alone and together. They let me sit in on one of Bill’s tunes, ‘Are You Talkin’ ‘Bout Love Or you Talkin’ ‘Bout Chicken?’ They played for almost two hours… we got some radio time out of that for sure. Well, it’s almost time for the morning Sunday Class… Gotta get to ‘work!’
Great show last night! Loved your set! Bill and Spencer were great! Bill needs to come out of his shell a little bit.

Well, my buddy Cork and I made our first visit to the Ranch Saturday to see the show. What a ball! The place is great, and all staff were friendly. Bill Kirchen and Spencer Bohren were, indeed, outstanding. Jorma, your set was a joy as well; thanks.
For the fellow parking cars: We got it for next time! Being rookies to the Ranch, we thought we could park anywhere. Your guy was a little put-out with our dorking around, but got his point across without a word…
We have tix for Hillman and Pedersen, so we are looking forward to “visit #2”. We’ll park better this time:)
Sounds like it was yet another great Fur Peace Ranch weekend. Bill Kirchen is on my short list of FPR workshops I MUST attend sometime…..(Twang!!)
Enjoy the West Coast Tuna Tour!!!
Hey…Just saw on yer website the Electric Tuna shows for next year…Carolina Theater gig in Durham!! JOY!! Hope to see you there.
Safe travels and joyous pickin’
