This morning Jack, Barry and Phil all flew to their respective homes while Myron and Chris and I drove the bus over a thousand miles today. Tomorrow a wake up an six or seven hundred some miles and I’ll be home. After two months on the road… I am really… really looking forward to it! After I’ve been home for a day or so, I’m going to write a wrap up. Keep tuned.

Now note from our lovely daughter Izze and sincere thanks for all of you who helped with her mission to send Girl Scout Cookies to our service men and women.

A girl, a pickup truck and cookies!

A girl, a pickup truck and cookies!

‘A huge thank you to everyone who bought Girl Scout Cookies for my Cookie campaign for the troops. I sold 1001 boxes and my mom and I packaged up the first installment that are going to an Army Platoon Afghanistan. The rest are being divided for the USO lounges at a few specific airports, Walter Reed Hospital and another veteran hospital in Chilicothe, Ohio. I couldn’t have done this without the help of my Dad and so many of his fans and friends. Thank you everyone!!!!!!!!

Gratefully yours,

Izze Love Kaukonen’

That’s my girl… well done sweetie… well done!!!!!

Izzie that is so awesome. You are an incredible young lady. The kindness of your actions and generosity of your spirit are so compelling. I know many great things are in your future. Your mom and dad must be very proud as they should. Shine on Izzie, reading about you made my day.

Well done Izze. Glad I could be a small part of this. Wish I could have bought more, but this came up just as real estate taxes were due. George Harrison said it best! 🙂

Great job Izze! Wow! 1000 miles in one day. That’s one hell of a commute! Mine’s only 40 miles each way. Looks like you will have some well-deserved rest! (at least from the Road).

    Onward!

    Well done indeed!

1001 boxes is pretty impressive, and great gifts for very deserving cookie-eaters too. Congratulations Izze, Jorma and Vanessa….
