A Model Indeed

October 22nd, 2010 Leave a comment Go to comments

Just a quick note. Last night my four and a half year old daughter brought home a model from Lowe’s. Indeed, it was a model of NASCAR #48… that would be Jimmy Johnson’s car. I helped in a minimal way, but she really did it herself.

You know… It just doesn’t get much better that this from a modeling Dad’s point of view. I can hardly wait for the next one.

Time for my first class at the Fur Peace Ranch this weekend.

Nice job, Izzy! Good to see model-making is still alive and well. I really used to dig putting together those model cars when I was a kid. Jorma, look forward to seeing you at the Beacon to celebrate your 70th this December — for me, nearly 40 years of going to your shows!

Jorma, I am the proud 49 year old father of a 4 1/2 year old daughter, Magnolia,(and an 18 month old son)and while my wife tends to be the one doing the projects, I get to do the physical stuff, swimming lessons, swinging a bat, throwing and kicking, etc. Its all good. If izzy is traveling with you this winter and wants to come to our apartment for a playdate while you are in NY for the Beacon shows we would be happy to have her! We are on the upper east side!

Nice! I recently built a Jimmie Johnson model with my daughter, she is 17 though, not 4…. Looking forward to my next Fur Peace session with David Bromberg!

And just so you know, in terms of a playday with the kids: my wife is a MD, I am a Nurse Practitioner, clean and sober 19 years and the unhealthiest thing in our house is my taste in music, hahahaha….
