Great Day In Shibuya

Well, we had a rare day off here in Shibuya. It was not a travel day. What a concept!

Yesterday was a travel day… but we got to Shibuya in time for some ramen at Samurai.

Samurai was the real deal. Delicious and cheap. After dining Jack and Myron and I went for a walk.

A good dinner, a good walk and a good night’s sleep. Today, Jack and I had lunch at a rib joint of all things… and again, delicious.

This evening, the folks from Thumbs Up hosted us at a fabulous seafood restaurant called Kaikaya.

We met Arisa when we played McCabe’s some months back. Her Dad owns Thumbs Up and she and her Mom took us all out to dinner. Now Arisa is a formidable musical talent in her own right. You need to check out her work! She is a dandy for sure!

There’s a story behind the rubber chicken, but I’ll save that for another time.

Well, that was our day today. Hard work, but somebody’s got to do it. Tomorrow is our lecture/show at Tokyo Women’s Plaza Hall.

I’m exhausted… time for bed!

Japan really is like no other place in the whole world.
The Japanese adhere to the principle of “Mottainai”, meaning “waste nothing”.
I have a drawer full of “furoshikis” which are the nice reusable cloths that gifts are wrapped in. No wasting paper.

I’m so hungry for Japanese food after reading this post – I’m going to the local sushi joint tonite.
    Sake to me.

Good Lord I though I was the only fan of Sven. Rich Koz never fails to get that smile back on my face. Ah for the good old days of Chicago radio. I think I hear somebody hollering “It’s ChickenMan!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

    Richard:
I’m signing-off on you. There is no use for me to continue to try to be
reasonable, explaining overseas touring, to you.
You have no idea what’s involved and the time, work and effort that is required.

You have no idea how difficult overseas airline/touring travel is.
Even after the flight: work needs to be done.
Myron got sick and I can assure you, that it’s not easy to be queasy, overseas.@Richard
