Woodstock And The Music

November 19th, 2010 Leave a comment Go to comments

Yes folks, Hot Tuna is recording it’s first studio project in 20 years. We’re working at the Levon Helm Studio in good old Woodstock and our buddy Larry Campbell is producing the project. We’re in the same room where Levon and the boys do the Midnight Ramble and where Barry Mitterhoff and I recorded my last CD, River Of Time Here Larry and Jack are having what looks like a serious talk about what is undoubtedly a very complicated arrangement! You mean I have to remember new stuff? Hmmmm…..
barry cell
Mr. Barry Mitterhoff, undaunted by the task at hand, catches up on some email between licks. Can it get any better than this?

More will be revealed.

I really like River Of Time, listen to it often. I’ve been lucky enough to see you play with Barry or HT 6 or 7 times in the last year and a half. I’ll be at the Beacon both nights and hope to hear some new material before the release of the new cd in 2011. Any plans for an acoustic set with you and Barry?

Can’t wait! The live show from July at the Rams Head w/ G.E. and Steve Earle is one I keep going back to. Can’t wait to hear some of that Tuna energy and magic translated to new studio stuff. Best wishes for a great Thanksgiving!

Oh my, Levon’s place is outstanding. Most enjoyable place to be with people and listening to music (like Fur Peace).

Happy Thanksgiving to all here ! Hot Tuna with a new album !!!! Can’t wait . I am always thankful for Jorma’s Thoughts . At 61 , I’m less religous but more spiritual than ever . Jorma’s Thoughts seems to be spiritual food for this “child of the 60’s” . Thank you .
