Way to go! It’s good that those folks recognize the gift you have been giving us for, lo, these many years. I feel such nachas for you, you shouldn’t know!

Not important to be on the cover of the Rolling Stone.
The writing about you is most important.
Keep on with what you do the best!

My friend says: It’s not what is on the cover but more important what is inside.
She also says to Age Like Jimmy Page. Let your gray hair and wrinkles show so we
know who you really are. Listen to your voice and play your music the way you are in this real life. Everything else is B.S.
My friend knows this for a fact. Any arguments from anybody can deal with her.
    Bring it on!

Jorma just keep on keeping on, the sound of your guitar and voice have a special place in mylife.

Yes, I agree. Just for Jorma to keep on to be himself.
Only a few others can do what Jorma does now to play solo show. I see the video of Eric Clapton singing and playing his guitars by himself. I know that Pete Townshend also has perform the same way. A couple of shows not many in the row. I heard Neil Young did this years ago with back up singing with his sister and wife from that time.
Ray Davies has also done solo tour but that was almost 20 years ago.

But Jorma is now out there giving the fans his solo show. Not just a night or two but on these concerts by himself. This is after being out there playing with others.
Don’t even get my friend started about this topic.
Nobody does this better than Jorma.

Did you see the very good documentary “It Might Get Loud”?
There is the Edge from U2 and Jack White. Very good and then there is with them Jimmy Page. They try to get Jimmy Page to sing and he says with honest
    “I can’t do it. I can’t sing. Really.”
Jorma ages like Jimmy Page with natural gray hair and the wrinkles.

Only Jorma can do the great playing and also his singing by himself in solo show.
Don’t get my friend started in debate about this because she will kick ass with the facts!

The doc started off with Jack White building a very funky slide guitar.

Oh yes, that was a great scene! You know about films and documentaries.

I was preaching to the converted. We already know how great is Jorma.
Jorma is just modest in his description of the magazine article.@jim hitchcock

No arguments with anyone here, aging like Jimmy Page is fine excepting he hasn’t performed since 2011, and seems to spend all his time remastering his old stuff….whereas our esteemed blog author is, as my kids say, keeping it fresh.
But yeah, stay away from the Grecian Formula.

Yes that is why I say Jorma goes out to play his concerts for many nights and now he is playing these solo shows. Keeping it fresh is good expression.
We had such a good time at work yesterday with everybody toe tapping and what you call when people move their head to the music?
We play some air guitar and sing. We are from 23 to the ladies there 83.
The cover of the Rolling Stone isn’t what it used to be.

That would be nice to see with the Google maps photo to show how much is there.
Also the new Jorma deserves 5 star review because Jorma is singing so well. Should be also another for Teresa singing.
Everybody here gives it the sun for review because it shines and feels warm.@Jim T

johno, it is snowing again now. With the frozen snow call it sleet. Inches are on the ground from this afternoon until now.
I know you love Jorma we all share this love but tomorrow will be more sleet and then it turns to rain and that all is frozen over the night. On Thursday and Friday this will be the same thing again. This weekend will be a mess so all Jorma fans PLEASE DRIVE SAFE!

Johno can I suggest to you have a nice cup of Jorma tasty tea with your honey bun. Stay home be safe and next time you will see Jorma again.

Back on the topic of the cover of the Rolling Stone. It is nice they wrote a “Checking In” about Jorma. Jorma makes some good nature jokes and I laugh after I learned to read it better.

I was raised by my mother and she works hard she is a saint! Women are great.
What is that on the cover of the Rolling Stone?
It says Madonna but I look and I don’t see a real person it is a photo all fake with photoshop. Not her real face not her real hands not her real fingers.
Maybe it is best Jorma is not on that cover because we would not see real Jorma.@johno

Actually, September 30, 1971 Jorma was on the cover of Rolling Stone along with Jack, Paul, Grace, Joey and Papa John. I was 17, bought the issue for 60 cents….. still have it. That was and still is the “real” Jorma. Time waits for no one, but it’s where one comes from that takes them to where they are now. Ain’t in no hurry says it all.

Love it! Jorma, I just noticed your Hawaii tour in June. If you guys have time and schedules match, go see Ledward Kaapana, he is a true living slack key virtuoso. He has regular gigs on Oahu and Maui, our favorite is just about every Sunday at Kona Brewing in the Koko Marina shopping center on Oahu. Show 6-8, get there early to get seats near the tiny stage. Peace.

Yes it is not what is on the cover that is important it is what is inside that is important. For magazines and people.

I just learned that I made a terrible mistake. I wrote the wrong words for saying to “see the real”. The correct word is to “recognize” in the dictionary it is “to identify as previously known”.
I am just an immigrant to this country and many things here are new for me.
English is not my first language for speaking and writing. I try my best and hope that I will learn more every day. Some people understand that I have more to learn and others maybe have never tried to give an immigrant chance for learning.
I am sorry if I offended any person. I will try to be better.
