Jim, happy you like it and I am happy to use Barbara’s computer. Yes it was more fun before but when I work I can not always post the comments because I have so much to do in the restaurant. When I get my break time I can go to Barbara’s apartment to use her computer because it is on the next street.

When she writes here she always posts: “Barbara J. here”, people reading know that it is her. She is not “infamous” “whoever she is” person. @jim hitchcock

Yes I not “only speak awfully well for a Russian émigré” I am from Ukraine not from Russia. Jorma knows who I am and he knows Barbara. She is “not kidding” any
    person.

Thanks, Chuck, will do. I love his version, can clearly remember chills going up my spine listening to his opening riff, phased guitar swirling away.

Masons sets are really something. Look up his XM Radio set for a burning version of “All Along The Watchtower”.

Johno, a friend says Mason’s voice is the best he’s ever heard it, and he’s seen Dave a lot more recently than I have. Imagine 40,000 Headmen or Pearly Queen with a guest sitting in.

Double Dose, thank’s for just mentioning it. One of the first CD’s I ever owned. Love it.

Barbara knows I recognized the Andriy link months ago. It was all in fun. Used to be more fun.

I know Marty Balin is playing in NYC July 30. Maybe he’s local enough to be at South Bay Sunday? Did the plot just thicken??

  11. Comment made on July 14, 2015 by Tim from Philly

I’m extremely happy for what I get, especially seeing above that Larry n Teresa will be at FPR on 8/1!!! Hadn’t heard that before, very excited for our annual pilgrimage. Rock on, Jorma!

I’m holding out for a huge “Miracles>We Built This City” encore jam!
Speaking of dreaming, ANY chance for an Expanded/Unedited box set
of the 1977 Hot Tuna classic “Double Dose”?

    @Andriy
You must be kidding me – I never know who we’re talking with you or the infamous Barbara – whoever she is. And BTW you speak awfully well for a Russian émigré.

  14. Comment made on July 14, 2015 by Andriy

Oh, I forgot to write for the comment above:

    “Barbara J. here : “.

If and when Jorma decides that “something is definitely wrong here…”
he will deal with such, accordingly.

  15. Comment made on July 14, 2015 by Andriy

So many incidents, so very long ago.

All memoirs are just a written recollection by the author,(who writes by him/herself or with a collaborator).
If you enjoy reading the book and the stories told within, then the book will be meaningful to you.
Most of the people (and they are no more than just that description) don’t remember those particular things/ events/ what went down, that day.).

If you are ever asked to remember a day, that took place decades ago; it may be very difficult–if not possible, for you to remember.

Reading Bill Kreutzmann’s new memoir, Deal. Has Jack “Cassidy” (got by the copyeditor) ever forgiven Bill for the great Orange County cream pie incident of Summer ’68? (By the way, who got Jorma?)

  17. Comment made on July 14, 2015 by Andriy

    Barbara J. here:
Jorma, I don’t understand the fight continuously being waged against Andriy and also me.
Andriy continues to enjoy reading Jorma’s blog and he doesn’t comment because, as all can see: there is an ongoing childish response to both him and to me, when I post any comments under Andriy’s sign-in.

When you, Jorma, instruct me to stop — I will be happy to comply.
Until then, there is nobody here (all men, although they act like babies and boys) who can force me to end my posting comments here. There is nothing that can be posted that will insult me nor offend me.

I get along very well with men:
live with them, have good solid friendships with them, work with them.
Unless they try to take credit for my hard work, I meet with them and in business I always take those who are foolish enough to disrespect me and/or mock me; down to ChinaTown. They consider dealings with me as competitions, while I just continue to get the work done in the best possible way.

    “Nuff said”.

    @Jorma

I am grateful for what I have – I have to agree with Einstein – With the Lord all things are possible…

  19. Comment made on July 14, 2015 by John B

Einsteins theory of relativity did allow for the possibility of a parallel universe. @Jorma

I will be very happy with Tuna / Mason and also Tuna /Riders. I am looking forward to both. Doubtful on the Long Island show for now.

Always thanks Jorma for giving us the chance to see on the same silent universe the beauties you actually see. Ain’t no little thing in our little world. Rock Them All High Tonight Jorma!

Thanks for such a great show and playing so many of the old blues tunes. As if Jack and Jorma weren’t enough, Larry and Teresa were icing and ice cream on the cake. Her singing the reverend’s Keep Your Lamp Trimmed and Burning was so moving and the Sugaree cover was a great ending to a magical night of music.

    All the best,

I’d love to hear ‘After Bathing at Baxter’s’ one more time.

  24. Comment made on July 14, 2015 by johno

Does that mean no? I’m just checking to see if you’ve spoken with Paul about getting together on Sunday.

  25. Comment made on July 14, 2015 by johno

Do you think there is a possibility?

  26. Comment made on July 14, 2015 by johno

    @John B
Be grateful for what you got. Hot Tuna AND Dave Mason – that is going to be a smokin’ show – I wish I was going to that one. A friend of mine in Sacramento saw Dave Mason last month and said he was amazing. But I’m going to see Electric Hot Tuna down on the beach this Sunday they are playing at an outdoor music festival with NRPS and Jefferson Starship. I wonder if Starship gets together with Tuna to play some old Airplane.

Jorma is there any chance that you can get George Clinton to join you guys onstage at the NJPAC show on Thursday?

  28. Comment made on July 14, 2015 by John B

    Two days till electric Tuna.

Something is definitely wrong here. We have Barbara channeling through Andriy talking like the head of the Chamber of Commerce for Truro.

    Barbara J. here:
Yes, it’s a very nice town. Having (not dragged my butt there) been there many times, I can give it a 4 star rating as a great summer place, on the N.E. coast.
It is one of my fave places on the N.E. coast.
Good food, nice people and great sailing.

Having dragged your collective asses all the way out to Truro, I hope you got to spend some time out here. Was a beautiful day. One of our favorite spots in the world.

Sorry I couldn’t make any of the shows in your New England run. Hopefully next time. (And with JK/HT, you know there’s always going to be a “next time”).
