The Talkhouse At The Tip Of Long Island

I have been playing the Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett since 1987. Peter Hohnerkamp and his friends are quite simply the best as is the audience who frequents this haunt. I got a birthday cake and a lot of good vibes as well as a Japanese dinner… and here is what we gave them:

Jorma, how do you come up with your set lists each night? Do you sit down and plan it out ahead of time? Do you have a rough idea of what will be played, but it’s still a loose guide where surprises come up?

I’ve always been interested in how folks come up with what they play. I would love to hear how you go about it.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts publicly.
