Showcase Live And The Road Home

Truly an incredible show last night and I was so fortunate to be a part of this unforgettable evening. Theresa and Larry added a dimension that brought out “that old” Airplane and Hot Tuna sound to 11 of the 12 songs from the new CD as well as on the classics like Good Shepherd and Keep Your Lamps Trimmed & Burning. Abe Fogle was a champ filling in for Skoota on drums and seemed like he belonged there all along. Jorma, Jack and Barry were masterful as always and then some. Kudos to Phil, Myron & Ingo for pulling it all together. As my 9 year-old would say: “It was Sick!” Thanks Jorma for bringing us all along for the ride. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!

I go all the way back to having Burgers on 8 track, and I just ordered River of Time and Steady as She Goes, so I’m feeling pretty good about things.

Bill Graham’s introduction of the band at the Cal. MJ Initiative circa 70’s. He calls Jack a “devil, devil of a man” and Jorma the “Sex symbol of Scandanavia” which of course is all true.
