Pre Panini # 4… Pre Independence Day!

Family time in the woods…

Selfie by Vanessa Kaukonen

It’s been hot, but hey… it’s July in Ohio. It’s meant to be hot. We’ve been prepping for Panini # 4 and Jack and I have been rehearsing for #12 of the Quarantine Concert Series. It’s been a great week playing with him. The last time we played together was in February and that was electric. Getting back to basics in these times of isolation has been more than a blessing.

Of course there is still time for Maverick and me to take a walk together!

So Jack and I certainly have some treats in store for you all as well as us. Truly a win/win situation!

So… Saturday July 4 at 8PM fire up your YouTube, go to Fur Peace TV and enjoy the show!

    Hi Jorma, Vanessa, Myron and Brother Hurl, Et al.

    I recently fought my through a “Terrible Operation” (aka elective surgery). This procedure combined with all that is going globally and nationally, made life incredibly challenging both mental and physically. I relied on the little pleasures in life to help to me maintain a positive mental attitude during my recovery. The live shows from the FPR have been a critical part of my healing process and always provided something to look forward to when simply getting through the day was my primary goal.

    Now that I am back on my feet again and firing on all cylinders, I just wanted to express my sincere gratitude to all those involved in the shows, vids, sound, production, etc. You often say how these shows have helped you, but all of you should know that these performances have played a critical role for myself and many others to stay on track…As you say “a win/win.”

    Can’t wait to see HT again!
    Sincerely,
    Dennis

    @DennisK
    Best wishes to you Dennis – sounds like you had a doctor who knew how to fix it, and just what to do.
    And I couldn’t agree with you more about the healing powers of Dr. K and crew.
    It might sound nuts to say I’ve taken a lot of positives from the situation, but I have, and one of them is the amazing display of caring for others that we get every Saturday night from FPR.

    @Ed
    Thanks Ed!
    I first heard “The Terrible Operation Blues” performed by Jorma and Barry in a Chatham NJ church, with my pre-teen daughter sitting in the pew by my side. I quickly realized it was not about surgery per se.

    The song has been running through my head (and earbuds) for the past several months. I often imagined Vanessa playing the role of “Hannah May,” to Jorma’s “Georgia Tom.”🤣

    When I woke up from the “gas,” I recommended that my awesome recovery room nurses give the song a listen… Yas, yas, yas.
