Done… and I drove in person to the electoral office in Pomeroy

Don’t forget folks, this is the deal… our deal… our right and responsibility!

So Jack and I have our first Drive-In gig at the Frederick Fairgrounds on October 22, 2020. Needless to say, we’re thrilled about this. It’s been way too long and we hope that you folks who are within driving distance of this venue will load your car up and join us!

Every day is contains a harbinger of change, but Fall really brings it home. The trees bursting into flame with fall foliage, that distinctive taste the air brings us… there’s nothing quite like it! At my age one cannot help but wonder how many more of these seasons we will get to enjoy but that’s a conversation for another time. Today, it is quite simply… beautiful!

Walking the Big Guy, this tree got my attention… and this is early!

I’m expecting Mr. Casady to show up sometime today so I think I’ll help him out by dragging out some of his gear!

More anon…

Book ‎ Janis – by Holly George-Warren is an excellent read. I really enjoyed it. Loved learning she crashed at David Freiberg’s place with Chet Helms after hitching from Texas. Tons more in there. Heck it out

It is a very special time of year . We have not yet had a good cold snap yet here in the Garden State or even a frost so it has been a dull kind of leaf changeover but it is lovely in its own way. The real beauty in my part of the state , along the shore and out toward Trenton , is in the fields where the corn still stands tall and early fall crops add there own beautiful colors of brown ; gold and purple. Frederick is within striking distance and I hope to be there . Be well everyone …………

Jorma the wife seems to think you look younger with the toboggan hat on.
Wife & I handed in our ballots yesterday.
John B & Jack from NJ I grew up in Ewing, lived in Ringoes, Cranbury, Somers Point & Galloway. Mid ’70s worked at Joe Pops on LBI. Each place left a good time in the heart & mind

Vote like your life depended on it this year. This is one of the most important elections in history. This is what America is all about. Hope there aren’t any last minute surprises.
It’s peaking in the Catskills. Took a long ride yesterday on Route 28 from Kingston to Roxbury. Lots of color – oranges, yellows and reds this year. Absolutely gorgeous.

I worked in Ewing for a bunch of years; had a good friend Glen B from Somers Point and saw Dave Mason at Joe Pops in the late 70s . The Garden State is a beautiful place especially up around Ringoes. My ex grew up on Greenwood lake in Lakesid3e. God bless and keep safe. @Joe K

We’re all familiar with the wonder that comes with seeing anything of beauty or majesty for the first time. Now, with increasing frequency, I find myself looking at things of that nature with the thought of “how many times are left…”. Rather than getting morbid about it, I’ve been trying to use that thought to heighten the intensity of my awareness in that moment. Looking more closely, feeling more deeply. I don’t know how many falls I’ve got left, but I’m doing a 42nd annual fishing trip with a couple of buddies next week, and “how many you reckon we got left” comes up more frequently every year. The thought just makes us redouble our efforts (as close as sixty-odd year folks can come to doubling anything) to see who goes home with the bragging rights for this year. No matter how many are left, this is the one that counts. Peace and vote.

I do miss wandering around Bronx Park and the Botanical Gardens this time of year, but at least we have dropped out of the feels like 100 degrees down in Florida. Completed poll worker training this week, doing my part for a free and fair election in Florida (no hanging chad jokes, please) BTW Florida Mail-in ballots start being counted today, I think thats one thing we do right down here. Stay safe and VOTE !!!!

From Muskrat’s Cove down to the Cement Park, the Bronx River Bike Path , Bronx Park is a jewel. They fenced off the Botanical Gardens and the Zoo years ago But your right about the walk and colors. Hard core for sure in parts but it’s boogie down beautiful.

The weather is starting to cool off in the Carson Valley of Nevada. The Quaking Aspens should start showing color any time now. The Kokanee Salmon are running up Taylor Creek in Lake Tahoe and the Mackinaw are ALWAYS on the menu. Been a dry year and although I HATE shoveling snow I hope we get a banner years of snow and rain. New guitar should be here today and my mind has been drifting back to the days of the Penny University on Mt. Vernon in San Bernardino, Ca. Those were some great times

There is a story today from a newspaper in Maine that an out of state person on a 2014 BMW motorcycle hit a Moose.Needless to say he is not in good shape. In the 40yrs that I have headed North to visit my Brother & his very large family I have not seen a Moose. To all those cruising stay safe

I went to my local Honda dealer this afternoon to get a key made for my ‘new’ 2013 Ridgeline. A salesman approached me in the waiting area, “Is that a Fur Peace Ranch mask you have on?” Yes. “Jorma was here this morning wearing the very same mask.”
Glad to see you’re not cutting any corners, stay well. m
