Great show last night! Nice to see Jack back in SE Ohio. Thanks to the FPR crew…another stellar production. I enjoyed you guys chatting about the venues you played back in DC. Have you had a chance to see the new documentary titled “Anacostia Delta” which focuses on Danny Gatton, Roy Buchanan, and the DC/MD music scene from back in the day? I am guessing you and Jack might recall some of the musicians and clubs that they highlight…perhaps some of the ones you mentioned last night. If you haven’t seen it yet, it is interesting, informative and entertaining. Also, just finished Harvey Brooks autobiography “View from the Bottom” and was wondering if you ever played with him or hung out together? Hope to see some shows in person at FPR next year. In the meantime, stay safe and sound!

First, Hope and I have made the quarantine concerts our Saturday date night since you started; very psyched to see you back live and with Jack. And that Bass….!

You were talking about setting up outdoor venues in the south; we’ve loved seeing you at Spirit of Suwanee in Live Oak, FL and I know I could convince people I know to make a weekend out of that and you could even hold workshops!

Don’t remember what spring fest it was, but we were walking past the amphitheater on the way to a workshop in the morning and I heard the distinctive sound of your finger-picking and I said “hey, that’s Jorma”. We walked down to the front of the stage and watched/listened to your soundcheck, and it was cool.

Last night’s show left my jaw hanging.
Truly inspired. And some deep belly laughs all around.
Thank you Jack, Jorma, Vanessa, and crew!

Great Show, really enjoyed the evening. Have you studied the pickins and playins of Elizabeth Cotton?

85 degrees in SE Texas today. C’mon down! With people like Dan Patrick and Greg Abbot in charge, what could go wrong? Austin’s about the only place people are wearing masks en masse. How much you charge to set up in my back yard?

@Jorma A very good friend of mine back in High School both took lessons from Clabe Hangan, I was a beginning student and he was advanced. Greg said Clabe was all about Elizabeth Cotton. I’ve since rehooked with my old HS buddy who lives in Michigan. I hope to be able to visit him someday and learn some of her work. Todays my big operation, I hope to here more from you and jack when I get out 😉

@DennisK It seems the music I hear as they put me under is always “Embryonic Journey”

#23 était sublime ! It keeps getting better and better. The “ghost”—according to Jack, that third entity that appears above you guys when you play as a duo—was onstage last Saturday (so was Chester). Thank you Jorma, Jack, Vanessa and wonderful crew.
