This has been without a doubt one of the most hectic trips of all time. We started driving from Ohio on Wednesday last... hi balled it to Milwaukee, played on Thursday... drove after to show to Tofte, Minnesota... played Lutsen Friday night... took Barry and Jack to the airport in Duluth yesterday morning... drove 12 hours to where we are now... getting up and out of here by 0700... taking Phil to the Columbus airport and then home to the Ranch to unload. Happy Easter everyone.

What a great weekend it was at the Ranch and here I am on an equally beautiful Tuesday morning getting an oil change at the Jeep dealer. Some days it's just the little things... a good cup of coffee, a great drive into town and everything going according to schedule. Quite simply, this just might be as good as it's going to get today so I'm going to go with this... turn the computer off and enjoy the view while they get my car ready.

Have a great one all...

I'm down here in Jacksonville, Florida for the Wanee Festival and just took a moment to write something for my friend, Charles Picket, who passed on Ash Wednesday.

Wednesday, April 21, 2010 0845 Athens, Ohio

An early morning at the gym and here I am at the Village Bakery enjoying a cup of coffee and the traditional egg salad sandwich. I had a fabulous motorcycle ride yesterday and even though today is filled with Harry Homeowner stuff... it's going to be a beautiful day. Off to Tractor Supply...

Sunday, April 25, 2010 0731 Alexandria, Virginia

I came out here to Virginia on Thursday to spend a couple of days with my son and we had a mighty fine time. A soccer game which his team won, a trip to Arlington Cemetery for me while he was in school on Friday... Moving... as always... Doctor's appointments, dinners out... driving around... talking... movies... dominoes...

He's still sleeping right now, but I'll be getting him up soon for breakfast at the City Diner. Later on today I'll be heading home... he'll be doing homework and I'll be practicing next week for the trip to the Iridium in NYC.

A fine four days... Onward
