Launching light at the Psylo

Launching light at the Psylo

Last I went back over to the Fur Peace Ranch to see Chris Samardizch of the Brotherhood Of LIghts launch the beautiful light show he put together for us at the Psylodelic Museum. Hard to shoot decent pictures in low light with an iPhone… but all things considered, this isn’t bad. The projection on the Psylo was beautiful. The liquid light show with music on the second floor of the Museum, was breathtaking! Chris and his pals are true artists!

The weekend we are hosting Steve Earle who is not only teaching a writing class but is also playing two sold out shows Saturday and Sunday night. Also on board for the weekend is my good pal G.E.Smith who is always welcome here at the Ranch or anywhere. A good time is sure to be had by all.

Also on board for a presentation is Dick Boak and Craig Thatcher from Martin Guitars. We’re going to have big fun!

Good night Mrs. Calabash, wherever you are...

    G.E.:
    I f**kin’ love that quote !

Within the last couple of hours, I used it in two e-mails:
    One: to Teresa Williams
    and another, to Russell Schlagbaum.

I intend to use it on a daily basis. I have plenty of opportunities.
Of course, I will always attribute it to you.

    I f**kin’ love it.
    I need it.
Now, I have it in my repertoire.

    @Brett
    I LOVE that G.E. quote!

I’ve been using it ever since reading your comment about it here.

As I talk to a lot of people all day, about many things:
    whatever the topic in question:

    That’s my newest, best quote.
    It says it all!

    Love G.E.:
He brings good things to life.

Jorma, the psylo looks incredible! I can’t wait to finally get to Fur Peace Ranch and see it in person. I popped in to wish you, Vanessa, Izze, Zach, and the entire FPR family Happy Passover! Chag Pesach Sameach! Be well, Kathy

Congrats on FPR year 16 to Jorma, Vanessa, John, and the whole FPR staff!

My first Ranch trip was at end of year 10….with GE…(A Born again experience it was…as were my other 3 FPR workshops)

Advice GE gave me on guitar playing, which is the best advice I EVER got on guitar playing (and life in general I guess) was four (4) simple words…

“Just *#*$!! Dig In!” In!!” (G rated version of his advice)

    Thanks GE!!

Good luck and much success with the Psylo.

Congrats to you on Fur Peace Ranch anniversary.

If you don’t mind, check out this kid playing like Papa John on fiddle.

He sounds like he’d fit right in at the ranch.

    WOW!
It all looks wonderful, plus Steve Earle and G.E.Smith!

    P.S. to G.E.:
Doctor Robert Levine was our dentist, back in the 1970s/80-ishs.
I was just up at his office today. Doctor Bob is retired and teaching dentistry in Arizona.
Dr. Donald Marks is still running the Manhattan office.

The enormous Psylodelic Smokestack of the flagship =FurPeaceRanch= appeared flashing along the 42nd parallel north last night.
It’s springtime all along the parallel now.
It’s the World Poetry Day today, just in time to celebrate Captain Kaukonen as our ‘Poet Number One’.
Anything turns into a Heavenly Poem with the Captain at the helm.
‘Turns the dead air into sound’ to say it with Grace.
    Steady As She Goes Jorma!

I got to see the completed Psylo a couple weeks ago when I was dropping off some artifacts. Your folks did a wonderful job on carpentry, construction, and lighting; I can’t wait to see the exhibits Saturday evening.
Certainly takes the Ranch to a new level, it will be something to show my grandkids about the era I grew up in. My best to you all, m
