    Missed that johno!
Notwithstanding all my ‘surrogating’, but I invite you to listen to the Tarrytown version of ‘Good Shepherd’: HOT TUNA electric – 2009 September 6th – Tarrytown Music Hall – Tarrytown NY.

    Thank You Tuna!
Your ‘Good Shepherd’ comes to fetch back the souls in the back of beyond with a musical sound of a tenderness beyond belief.
    Always Thanks Jorma!

Great show up at Bethel…very peaceful, serene, quiet evening as the sunlight filtered through the sweet air of the hills. As we got to our seats, said hello to Duke back by bar – sat down in our 12th row seats – next to Duke – lights lowered for Jill when some angelic type in a tie-dyed shirt came over to and said “Are you guys Hot Tuna fans?” without hesitation I blurted out “Sure are!!!” and he handed me 2 tix – second row center right in front of Jorma – my wife looked at me and and I said it’s karma – good vibes – it’s Hot Tuna

HOT TUNA LIVE on stage can’t be surrogated other than with the powerful DVD “HOTTUNA electric at the Beacon Theatre NYC”, the minimum of 4 times a day constantly, just to surrogate. And right here the relation between ‘painting & music’ pops into with a bang. One still wears the thrill after leaving a venue where Jorma just performed, opening your door home you vibrate like a star compared to the immobility of the building itself. In the shocking silence of the living-room the memory of the beautiful theatre fades before we push a switch. Condition unacceptable unless tomorrow we rise to a new night performance by Jorma, and so every night. But as we all know, for one matter or the other, that is not quite feasible, reason why in this case to surrogate makes it a better living rather than not to. The magic stillness of a Sunday morning is the perfect runway for the extraordinary musical adventure set like a precious stone in the unwinding coils of the DVD, today’s hit is represented by the duo soloing with the drums, different from the night auditions, the special spirits wrapped up in the morning of a Sunday, nailed the drums’ sequences in all their splendor, to be contemplated in its magic revealing.

    Thanks for all this Jorma!
    Steady As She Goes.

    Jorma, Jack & Barry,
Hard to believe, but you guys really do just keep getting better with age.
Last night’s show was spectacular, 3 virtuosos who fit together seamlessly!
The new arrangements on the old classics were stunning.
BTW: Jill was AWESOME and has a bunch of new fans, including this one.

Just saving everybody a few clicks to tonight’s show details. They could have made it a bit easier on the website (not you guys). It’s a nice venue and there’s a handful of seats left which will probably go by showtime.

It is also home to the Norwalk Symphony Orchestra.

I would like to hear a recording so I could give an honest evaluation. I don’t think I’m going to catch the last show, unless you want to to make it possible. I’ve been following Tuna for 40 years and you’ve never thrown this old dog a bone. Oh well till the electric tour God Bless Hot Tuna.
