OK… I’m sleepy. tomorrow’s another day. Good times!
Taking my son Paul to the Keswick Theatre for his birthday . See you tonite!
Have tickets for tonight’s show in DC (well, Alexandria). I hope it happens! Weather forecasts here are pretty bad. We didn’t get to see much of Jorma at Fur Peace a few weekends ago as he was busy getting an award :), although he did give us a very nice mini-concert for Monday morning breakfast.
Keswick! Keswick! Keswick! I’m excited! Set lists Look great. Haven’t seen “3rd Week” or “genesis” for quite some time. “If this is love…I DON’T want my money back!” Rock on Hot Tuna. Regards. Your Pal, Bob B from PHL
Anyone besides me going to Keswick?
I’m goin’ up to the country….CANNED HEAT.
Thanks for all the great opening acts over the years too. Jill Sobule put on a fun, self-deprecating, energetic performance at the Variety. The guy next to me went from “HFT! I hope she doesn’t play for more than 20 minutes.” to post-set Standing Ovation. That’s a mighty fine transition, and not surprising to me given the Variety’s generally respectful crowd. Then again, I would expect nothing less from a hand-picked FPR alumnae.
And I am hardly a musician or gear expert, but that sure looks like a Jorma-style cherry red Gibson ES-335 at the 1:44 mark of her 1995 pre-Katy Perry video “I Kissed a Girl” (with Fabio),

@Jorma
Got it – thank you. I’ve been listening to some live recordings so long that I forgot what the studio version sounded like 😉 It’s beautiful.
Hello Jorma, much sadness with the news of Joey”s passing. Any chance of playing any of his songs this tour? ” Pretty as you feel ” ? Just wondering, see you on the 18th. Forever onward, Chris
Beautiful old venues. Herbst theater in SF probably the classist place I’ve seen you guys. And the hats are on my list of things to get.
Any thoughts on the passing of old Tuna alumni Joey Covington? Rather tragic circumstance.
Keep on playing, play those Blues away.
thanks for posting the set lists as always. And see you in Santa Cruz!
If he was constipated he would have played “Constipation Blues” so i don’t think so…. @johno
Great to see Jack back and smiling again. But’s whats up with u in that pic, either you just woke up or your really constipated. Gotta get me one of those hats. Anyway, see you up in Bethel, if you get there early there’s a museum thats onsite thats really “groovy”. It recreates the 60’s and Woodstock. I’m goin’ up to the mountains……
Last Thursday i decided to do some yard work ; raking ; trimming etc and i came into contact with poison ivy. I;ve been itching and scratching ever since. As i said Jorma i will be going to the Keswick show and if you could would you play “Poison Ivy Blues ” for me?
The set lists look terrific Jorma. From the photos it looks like you guys are having a Ball. The Mount Pisgah area is indeed beautiful. I am bringing my son Paul to see you at Keswick Theatre at the end of the week. His birthday is this Wednesday and the show is my gift to him. Safe travels and see you soon.
“It seems like I have waited all my life for this guitar. I now play Martin acoustic guitars exclusively and the Jorma Kaukonen M-30 explicitly. This is definitely the next to the last part of the cat over the fence.”

Interested in the new guitar Jorma is playing. Any info
Thanks for another fine “Tuna Mind Melt” in Durham!
Jorma, can you post the lyrics to that new (to me) verse you sang at the end of Heart Temporary?
Hey Vince…
I wrote the song in 2003… the final touches were put on when I recorded it for Stars In My Crown… where the lyrics can be heard.
Dear Jorma,
Thanks for the great pictures and set lists!
Think I will have to get me one of those Tuna hats!
Safe Travels,
Cyndy
Sorry I missed the Durham show…I was a few blocks away Thursday night at the indoor batting cage at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park at my (then) future Son in Law’s bachelor party, but I could feel the Tuna tunes drifting down Mangum Street
And TS Andrea left us in time for a picture perfect Wedding at the DBAP on Saturday by the way!
You and the Tuna gang enjoy the rest of the tour Jorma…catch you next time you are in NC hopefully
B
