The pond behind the 'gig.'
Vanessa and I and indeed the whole Fur Peace Ranch family of projects and programs owe a great debt of thanks to David Wolff and Peter Goodman who, in the early stages of our Kickstarter program really got the ball rolling. These gentlemen saw our vision and were instrumental in our achieving our goals. What they got for being so fearless… was a private show for them and forty of their friends at David and Lindsay’s place in Chilmark on Martha’s Vineyard. It was a fabulous evening and I was joined by Barry Mitterhoff, his daughter Tessa and David himself. Here is our set list:

Onward!
I’m going to try to get mine this weekend. I’ve gotten shut out of some shows in the past because I waited to long and they sold out. Can’t let that happen this year. @Cyndy Consentino
hey there Doug. I just got back from a trip down south and missed your comment. Sorry you won’t be making it to the Beacon. Hope things work out somehow for you and you can get out here. @doug mlyn
Photo info update!:
Jorma took the photo, captioned: “Breath deep…”, in Maine.
Blog entry: “A Little Family Time and Another Gig….Johnathan’s” (July 11th, 2013).
The similarity of colors, texture and composition are all there:
“Beauty on the Road in Idaho”
“Breath deep…”
“The pond behind the “gig” ”
Landscape photography: on-the-road, at its finest.
(I pay attention to these things, Jorma.)
“The pond behind the ‘gig'” photo: very nice, Jorma.
Lovely blues and greens. Wonderful composition with a keen eye to geometry and texture. (Which I’ve commented on in the recent past and is my highest compliment to you and your talent at on-the-road photography!)
I place it on my list of: “The best photos, taken by Jorma.”
It joins “Beauty on the road in Idaho” and that great photo of the beach in Jamaica. (What’s the caption under that one? I’m on the road and can’t find it, at the moment.)
Got me a nice seat for Beacon show!!!!
I’ll be there
John B: don’t think I’m gonna make the Beacon this year, first one I’m going to miss in a long while 🙁
Alright we have an Electic Beacon show on Saturday November 23rd !
I lived on Edsel Drive in Milpitas a loooong time ago. @David Wolff
Thanks John B
🙂
Jorma, the gig in MV had to be incredible. Flying Clouds and Embryonic Journey, right on the the ocean. Wish I was there! Have fun back at farm. Thanks so much for all the shows. Tell Jack to have a great summer. I’m up in the Catskills all summer – no internet – Love you guys. Hope to see you all soon.
Dear, Jorma, Barry and Tessa,
Last night was better than i ever imagined, yet honestly i did not imagine what a gathering like we had would be like or what could be possible, just knew the music would be great, the company just as good and overall a beautiful time. Lets do it next year??? Vanessa and Izze were missed, so that’s a good reason to come back.
travel safe friends from everywhere. Sending you all magical hugs from this magical island. Peter

Dear Jorma,
Enjoy your time at home!
Stay well
Cyndy
Go deep Jorma. I’ll be alright someday.
Dear Jorma,
Back in June you took the time out to pose for a picture with myself and my daughter back in Albany, well she wanted you to know that she just got married to a fine young military man. We had an outdoor wedding at my house because he is only home for a couple of days on leave, and as the bridal party was walking down the aisle we played “A Walk With Friends”. I am not sure of the meaning behind the song but it could not have been more perfect. That song is absolutely beautiful. She received alot of compliments and I believe some new fans. As an old friend used to say it was “Firmer than Firm”..so thank you for making their special day that much more perfect.
Enjoy your time with your family it goes so fast.
Take Care
Hogan

Thanks, David and Peter!
Jorma, perhaps you could fill us in as to what Tessa and David did.
Sing?
Play somethin’?
Sounds like a fantastic time was had by all.
May blessings rain down on and around David and Peter: your gift will stand for generations. Thanks.
