Welcome to the Psylodelic Museum

Welcome to the Psylodelic Museum

Yes, it’s Tuesday and these events happened last Saturday but it took me a while to get everything together… good stuff.

Be sure to check out Third Sun Solar. I could see an array in my front field at Hillside Farm.

From 1100 to 1700 on Saturday, the Psylo and environs had their grand opening… and of course many folks had creative moments with ‘Darwin,’ our resident VW Bug.

The as the sun thought about relinquishing the sky, Big Brother And The Holding Company in the person of Peter Albin, Sam Andrews, Stephanie Keys, Ben Nieves, and Jim Wall took the stage for two rousing sets of music born in the 60’s but timeless in my opinion.

Big Brother at the Station

Big Brother at the Station

It was truly great to see Peter and Sam after all these years. Nothing like seeing an old friend or two to brighten up any day. Great making new friends too in the collective persons of Stephanie, Ben and Jim. These folks not only channeled the spirit of those gone before, they brought the music into the present and we saw and heard it right on the stage of our very own Fur Peace Station. Hey… and if that weren’t good enough, they let me play two songs with them.

My back with Big Brother

I really think we have done it right with our Psylodelic Museum… Vanessa and her team are geniuses and for our opening day, Big Brother was indeed the frosting on the cake.

Come to Darwin, Ohio and share some grand moments with us. I know the best is yet to come, but wasn’t that a time?

Those roses are a big hit!
I’m guessing that they’re silk. How was the color applied?
    Some tie-dye, others dipped?

Jorma: I really need to know.

Always fun to hook up with old buddies. Especially when there’s a lot of years in-between. I just reunited with a friend I haven’t seen in fifty years. We used to be next door neighbors and we communicated by hollering out our windows. They didn’t have cel phones for four year olds back in those days. Sorry I missed the – gotta get back in the Fur Peace loop one of these days.

Right, those roses! How do they manage to be like that. They have the voluptuousness and softness of a black baccarat still they are colored like a light-show. Psylodelic Museum’s prodigies I guess.
    Ever so thankful Jorma.
    Happy Fourth of July all.

I guess my question was, indeed psylodelic.
But, I still want to know if what I’m looking at in the photo are real roses or
    formed and then painted.
(Since I’m not there to see/touch/smell the roses in real life and am only looking at a photo.)
    Ottimo! Interessante!

    Grazie mille!@carlo pagliano

http://www.wolfgangsvault.com (it costs $40 for the year, but well worth it in my opinion). Probably won’t make any electric shows as I’m on the west coast but if there’s a beacon show this year I may have to make that one). And I have a feeling there will be. I will be checking out I don’t think I’ve missed a beacon hot tuna show in a long time. I will be checking out JOrma in Santa Cruz though next week.

Awesome stuff! Those were some great times. Speaking of the 60s I just renewed my membership to Wolfgang’s Vault and there are some awesome Tuna shows available. Listening now to the Winterland Show from 1973 just you and Jack and WOW! There are also comments about the show and all are extremely positive. I had to laugh at one Anonymous comment “I’m getting Wet” I guess it was a woman who commented (I hope).
