Well, it’s been years since we played Berkeley. Hot Tuna’s first album was recorded at the New Orleans House… all those years ago. Yesterday we returned… first checking into the Claremont hotel.

A typical bluesman hotel lobby
Well.. over to the gig for soundcheck.

Good times… very good times…
On to Sacramento….
Dear Jorma,
I was so happy to see that Will played with Tuna again. Brought a smile to my face!
Good Times Indeed!
Best.

Willie Scarlett is simply the best, I could listen to him for hours. I remember listening to that album on my parent’s console late at night sitting with my head right in the middle of those big old speakers, in the dark of our living room. It was more of a piece of furniture than a record player! It had to be 6 feet long! The stereo sound really got me hooked, I’ve been playing harp ever since, quick question Jorma, what kind of mike does he use, Green Bullet? We played that album till the grooves wore out at college, as you say, good times for sure!
@bob kelly
Thanks for the heads up on Suffolk, I can’t wait!
I saw the show last night in Sacramento. Thank you Jorma for many years of happiness. You guys sounded great last night.
Serpent of Dreams!! Awesome. See you in Seattle.. Safe travels!
Happy Valentine’s Day to the whole Tuna family, friends, & blogreaders!
verrry nice indeed.. The original , first Tuna album revisited…with hopes this show goes up for sale on Itunes,,
looking ahead to Jorma out on Long island, the end of march.., Suffolk theatre in Riverhead,, a beautifully restored old theatre,, and right in my back yard,,
Going to have to check out Supermule.
Pick the Crest to the peak tonight Jorma!
Typical Bluesman lobby… HA! You’ve come full circle w/Scarlett/Berkeley. Keep on truckin’ indeed.
Whats that smell like Fish, oh Baby? Hot F*cking Tuna
Man, that 2nd set is momentous. From #’s 8-12, with “Barroom Crystal Ball” into “Watersong” both open G makes sense, into “Genesis” …OK I’ll shut up.
Will Scarlett encore? Bravo!
Sounds like a good time.
I’m gettin’ itchy.
Any glasses broken?
Peace
Love All Ways
I just love Will’s derby. The original Hot Tuna in Berkeley – back to where Hot Tuna began. Kinda like a full go round. Nice digs!!
