Tonight was our first Tuna gig of the New Year 2014. The winter storm smacked the New England area with a vengeance but the people of the Northampton region are tough and they showed up at the Iron Horse Music Hall in strength. Here is our set list:

Very, very cold tonight. Tomorrow’s gig is supposed to be in Long Island at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center. Of course right now the Long Island Expressway and the ferries are closed, but we’re hoping that by tomorrow morning the storm will have passed and the show will go on. In the meantime, I have played the Iron Horse for over thirty years. Where do those decades go? I’m just tickled pink to be here… in the meantime, keep your fingers crossed for good weather tomorrow.

Onward!

We was there-the wife doesn’t often go out on school nights, but she got a snow day & kinda cut loose. She’s very intolerant of them what must chat during the tunes, but managed to restrain herself …folks we shared a table with met at the same college our daughter went to in far upstate NY. BTW my other daughter feels that Chris Smither is the cutest old hippie she’s laid eyes on…Oh, right-great show old chaps! Esp. enjoyed Ballroom Crystal Ball

Since I can’t get there, I’m happy to give my ticket to a young local musician who is a Tuna fan. Enjoy the show, Ryan!

Stuck upstate and unable to get to Westhampton for tonight’s show! Just spoke with my daughter and it’s still snowing in WHB, and very slow going on the surrounding roads. Happy trails, Jorma & Jack. Damn snow…
