The Scottish Rite usually have GREAT Auditoriums which they use for performing degree work, un mic’ed voices have to carry throughout the whole auditorium. I’ve been to a few of them,

Not to belabor the point but you had a what seemed like an amazing avocado green Les Paul and then changed up to the brown sunburst. We spoke a few times I asked if you collected Firebirds and you said no. The one show which made that guitar shine was the free gig @ Vicente Park deep in the Sunset S.F. and you all arrived via the Burgers Ford. Also a very memorable show was the Cold Salmon benefit for the Sweet Water Club in Marin. Orange Amps up to the ceilings and the place was shaking. I have to ask, do you still own the Flag Strat or the red 335 and does Jack still have his Alembic space Control model. We my friend go back a very long time ever since another free gig at the band shell in Central Park. I guess this era was the attempt to keep up w/ the punk movement by forming Vital Parts which not only dare I say sucked beyond belief but you came out w/ bright orange hair and a giant Swastika swinging from your neck. This upset so many Jewish fans to no end. Guess what you’ve found your true religion and that’s a good thing.The Jazz Master sounded fantastic but similar because of what your playing them through, amp and pedal settings. 1 day I’d like to get in early so you could show me your set up which would make my day. No Roland Jet Phase, or Echoplex any more.
Iwas also at the Collings Wood show and thought it truly was one of best shows of Tuna w/ this line up. One thing if Jorma reads these things you were in love so to speak w/ Les Pauls for quite some time and changed guitars like people change underware. This night was a appeared to be a Fender Jazz Master w/ a finish I never saw before. I wasn’t all that far and it appeared to have a mozaic effect to it. If so was this a custom job and if not I’m going blind. Where when and how to decide to change either set-ups or guitars?
Yo Lew… That was a new $650.00 Player’s Model Jazzmaster, made in Mexico. The finish was the classic Fender Sunburst, stock. (Must have been the lights) Actually, thinking back… in the mid 90’s I was playing a Gibson ES 335 until Epiphone released the Jorma model JA Riviera model (I still have one). I played that guitar until I got the Gibson Les Paul LP295… with Bigsby, a gold top. Then a couple of years later I got the Les Paul Standard and a year or two ago I got the Les Paul Peace with the Min-Etune system… and now the Jazzmaster. Hmmm… you’re right, I have been through a bunch of guitars. Of course, ‘been through’ implies getting rid of them and I rarely part with anything. Options are always good… thanks for asking!
Jorma, it might be time to bring another Ohio institution, Pure Prairie League, to Fur Peace. Two Lane Highway, the song of the troubadour, brother 🙂
Jorma,ive been seeing you since i was 14 years old, i am now 36, i havnt missed a beacon show in 10 years. please give me a white rabbit tonight and the circle will be complete, thank you in advance, and happy birthday Jack, remember….feed your head.

Great Collingswood show! Loved, loved “Ode to Billy Dean”.
Last nights show in Collingswood was just incredible ! The guy seated next to me had tears of joy in his eyes when you finished up Somebody to Love. Tim is correct as the guy on the other side of me said it was perhaps the best Hot Tuna he has heard as he texted his brother who lives in Huntington LI that one way or the other he better find his way to the Beacon tomorrow night. There were so many highlights at this show that I couldn’t list them all . The acoustics at this place were perfect . Jorma in my opinion Hot Tuna has never sounded better . Great show last night and we will all see you in New York City as the tour reaches as you called it last night ‘ It’s crescendo ‘ at the Beacon.

Awesome show last night! Jack and Teresa especially were on fire. I overheard a number of people say that it was the best Tuna show they had ever been to. Can’t wait for the Beacon. Rock on, Jorma.
