Anyway, been home for a bit doing home things and loving every minute of it.
Nothing like a late Spring sunset in Southeast Ohio
Yep… love this time of year. Hot… but still early in the season so we’re not sick of it yet.
Almost home...
Thursday morning I’m heading to Akron with a couple of my biker pals for the Founders Day Weekend.
We’ll be celebrating the 79th year with like minded spirits… then home and off on a little road trip with Hot Tuna.
Yep… almost ready for a great ride up through Amish Country to Akron.
Time to grab a handfull of gone!

I just received this touching call from my daughter who lives down in Sicily in this ancient town at the foothills of Mount Etna, the never sleeping volcano, she left the Terrytown Concert on with the windows open and went down town, the tiniest vicoli and narrow twisted stone stairs descending to the main avenue make the acoustic way for the Concert to expand bounce and spread in the air, nobody around at one in the afternoon, just rocks, stones and walls, the light is white down south, well she felt One with the Universe, and the gliding music down from the slated roofs made it magic and real for her, and Jorma’s voice nailed the thing forever. She wanted me to share and Jorma to know.

I am so glad for Jack, yourself and your whole family. Sadly, like yourself, I have many of my friends now counted as casualties and not a few besides still in the grips of our once common nemesis. We were once our own worst enemies,,,and still can be again. May this not be so for either of us. May Heaven protect you and yours during your ride.
having seen you at the Ranch enough times to lose count, I can easily say that I am glad I’m still among the living, even though I have one less item on the bucket list!!! how does it feel to know some consider coming to the Ranch to be somewhat of a Mecca? it’s hard to battle the feelings between being in awe of a rock n roll legend (a hall of famer!!!) and the feeling that this is just a good friend who is just as happy to see me as I am to see him, and I really feel that way…your personality shines as brightly as your gold-tooth smile, and I am very happy that our lives intersected at that most special of places, a place I lovingly refer to as my home away from home
by the way, you are very modest, you didn’t even mention the thrill we all got from hearing you play with Mr.Dave!!! what a great night of music at the Ranch, and thank you for that…send my love to Mr.Dave (and bring him back real soon)
thank you for these posts, I do not take it for granted that we can enjoy the music, have a burger and chat about life and leisure…we currently have brave soldiers making sure we can enjoy the life we have come to know and love for years to come, and we live as we do because of those brave souls who have come and gone before us who gave us this land and all it’s freedoms to do with as we please…every day we live in freedom is a blessing

P.S. kudos to you for staying clean for so long…yet another lesson many of us could learn from…so thanks for taking care of yourself so we could all enjoy the ride for a few more miles…I don’t know how you did it (many of us would love to know how you pulled it off) but I am very glad you did
can’t wait to see Bromberg do what he does (his Unsung Hero DVD was VERY cool!) and if you aren’t on the road, I’m looking forward to seeing you again…in a worst case I’ll just have to wait until June 28th when you and GE Smith cast your spell on us…worst case…LOL!!!!

It will have to get mighty hot and sticky for me to start complaining about the heat after the winter we just slogged through. It is inevitable though that I will. Just my nature I suppose . Some beautiful colors in those pictures that you posted up Jorma. Will see you in Toms River and beyond in just a few weeks now.
