The night was beautiful… sound spectacular and more great music followed. Today we took a trip around the island, but more about that later. Tonight is the last night of this gig about which more shall be revealed.
On the beach in Negril with Jorma and friends was pure Magic, I hope we can do it again next year. It was great hearing and seeing you sit in with Feat and the Ramble Band each evening, Come Back Baby rocked with you on the Telecaster. What’s the history on that guitar Jorma?
one of the most beautiful renditions of water song. larry on mandolin, jorma on guitar. spellbinding.
Phil Mushnick doesn’t miss much: if it’s important — he writes about it.
@John B
Agree with you, on all:
Larry and Teresa.
Mr. Ehlers, a true HERO.@Greg Martelli
I see those chaise lounges right under the palms with Jorma’s name on it. Enjoy it, Captain!
I am a big Mushnik fan Barbara ! I read his piece about the passing of Walter Ehlers. It brought tears to my eyes. @Barbara Jacobs
Jormas performance with the Ramble band with Larry and Theresa on their cover of Somebody to Love blew the roof off the tent- all you needed was Jack.
Thank you for commemorating the WW II vet, Mr Ehler.
While Jorma is resting up his fantastic finger-pickers:
Phil Mushnick, New York Post article: in his “PRIME TIME” column in the NY POST:
Sunday, March 9th:
The passing of Walter Ehlers, at the age of 92.
He was a Kansas farm boy.
The last survivor of the 12 Americans who earned the Medal of Honor for extraordinary valor during the invasion of Normandy.
Google it up and read about how he lead a patrol into “the bocage”.
Read and learn. Always remember. Never forget.
Jorma’s photos from this trip have been so beautiful.
Man that is what I’d call VIP seating,
Nice set list and surely good times down in da Islands, mon.
At this point, I’m here for the photos, so load some more of those tropical greens and blues up, Jorma.
