Once again… thanks to all the hardy folks who braved the arctic temperatures. Now we’re off to the Opera House in Boothbay Harbor, ME.
Tomorrow a ‘day off,’ which means a travel day, but that’s OK.

Praise and gratitude Jorma, Jack and Barry. Last Saturday night at the Flying Monkey, got us out of the house (cabin fever) in northern Vermont and down to Plymouth, NH for the show. I have spent many Saturday nights at Hot Tuna shows including all nighters at the Paladium in the mid-70s and a number in San Francisco in the late 80’s, early 90’s. And they still remain a treat that puts a smile on my face. Life is slower now milking goats and weaving cloth. But these small venues are by far my favorite and the show was near perfect. Many thanks for your trips north which more often than not are in the winter. I still have the same feeling in my bones as the first time I heard those loud electric notes in NY. Blessings and safe travels this winter!
Happy New Year from one of the Tuna Boys on LI. Just listened to 9/11/76 show at Commack Arena on youtube. Loved hearing every minute – again. My dog fell asleep but i was riveted. haha

Ashes to ashes baby, dust to dust, please bring electric Hot Tuna back to Great South Bay Festival in Patchogue or I will bust! Hope to see you there this summer. Tuna, you played Patchogue the hottest day of the year and Westhampton on the coldest. Electric acoustic-love it all, Jorma, Jack and Barry – the way you all go out on a limb with your licks and then bring it back around is mesmerizing – you make my ears smile! Jorma, you kept asking Barry what song next, I wanted to shout out ‘ask Jack’!! It was a swell gig fer sure. PS Loved Vanessa’s lyrics in FPR news. Please add those cool Tuna t-shirts on line at FPR. May the tide always be low, HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Thanks for making it all the way out to long island. You guys are too much, a raging snowstorm named Hercules doesn’t stop you. Thanks for coming – an A for effort. It was a winter wonderland in Westhampton.
The show was great – a mix of old and new tuna tunes – even brand new tuna.

That’s a great looking coat Jack has on. I always loved the great looking stuff I see Jack wear throughout the years. My 12 year old granddaughter gave a big thumbs up when I suggested I might grow my hair out to a short ponytail. My Mom of course was horrified while my daughter was amused. I had no idea that after having lived through the rebellious 60’s I would get rebellious again when I hit my 60’s.
The tactile oblique of the horizon adds a dizzy feeling to the already breathtaking set lists.
