The Crest In Sacramento

Last night we were at the Crest Theater in Sacramento. This was another of our cool gigs with David Lindley… It is such an honor to be out with him. He is, quite simply, the greatest!

There are many new aspect to Sacramento... I prefer the old!
I ran into an old friend from the Benner Music Company… a place where Paul Kantner and I taught for a number of years in the early 60’s. One of the other notables back in those days, was Pete Grant who played banjo back in those days but who has gone to become a virtuoso in that most difficult of instruments, the steel guitar.

Pete Grant and myself, backstage...
During the hang, Pete jammed with David as well as my buddy, Barry Mitterhoff.

Shine You Rock on Them All Tonight Jorma!
Hello,
This is off-topic, but I’m listening to After Bathing at Baxter’s and it’s one of the most joyous and accomplished sets of music I know. After all this time it’s still energetic and interesting, and what a wonderful move to include that long instrumental piece (you, Jack Casady ad Spencer Dryden.) I always thought this was an intensely romantic collection and it still seems perfect for wedding and birth celebrations in the sunshine. Rock on.
Great show, and a killer “I see the light.”
