Oddly enough, in some ways Shizuoka reminded me of Santa Cruz, California. Not visually, but the head space. Lovely place to visit and play!

Well, we packed the van and headed out for Osaka. On the way we stopped at a rest area that had a farmer’s market and all kinds of good stuff.

Most of my shirts and hats are either car-related, racing related and golf related with only about 50 concert related. I spent a lot of time golfing and I worked for an automobile related magazine – I’m watching a ranger game now hence ‘no caps’. Later.

Each tee-shirt (or hat) that you purchased, was because you wanted to take home
an item from whichever show where you bought it.
Why would you “have over 500 T-shirts and over 100 hats”, now in your collection?
I’m not “as big as a blimp”. I don’t wear all of my collection of tee-shirts –ALL AT ONE TIME! (and I have way more than 500 concert tee-shirts).
Have you ever even considered that, perhaps, there are people (much younger than you and I ) who are starting their own collections of concert/show tee-shirts?

It doesn’t matter.
A concert/show tee-shirt is a commemorative item.
That’s why they are sold, same as other concert merch.
Tee-shirts are collectables and are the greatest form of “walking advertisements”.
Tee-shirts are never “timing off”. Tee-shirts from overseas shows are the most
valuable and are a great conversation-starter whenever/ wherever they are worn.
They live on, almost forever, depending on wear-and-tear.
My Jorma “front porch man” tee-shirt was worn so often (I used to sleep in it)
that each washing made it softer and better. I always packed it in my luggage, when I went out-of-town. That tee-shirt traveled the world with me.
It got to the point where it was so worn-out, that the little holes in it became bigger. Many Customs Agents throughout the world, held it up; while inspecting my luggage. They looked at the shirt — then looked at me. I was smiling and as that shirt became more “holey”, I got some curious looks from the Customs Agents.
My boyfriend finally threw it out, after it was hanging together (literally) by a thread. ( Although, before that happened, I wanted to mail it to Jorma and Vanessa, in order to have it buried in the hallowed ground of FPR.)
It lasted many years and served me well: first as my beach tee-shirt, then as my sleep tee-shirt.@johno

I would send those “Hot Tuna 2014 Freaky Show Shizuoka, Japan” tee-shirts to
my friend Drew Nieporent (owner of the Nobu retaurants) and to Drew’s Nobu co-owners: Robert De Niro and to Nobu Matsuhisa.
I think it would be a nice touch, to have the name “Hot Tuna”, translated into Japanese, to include on the tee-shirt.

the decision to make tee-shirts and sell them on this Jorma website, is for Jorma and Vanessa to decide.
If I had the choice to make a tee-shirt with the “Jorma/Hot Tuna” name brand —

Buffalo Record is supporting whole tour. But they didn’t make a t-shirt for this tour.

I think that Jorma/Tuna songs, being performed in Japan, have that same effect on the Japanese fans who have the pleasure of attending these excellent shows.

Yeah buddy!!! Didn’t realize so many loved Watch the Northwind Rise. Thought I was the only one who loved it and wondered why we never get to hear it. 🙂

Wow Jorma what beautiful scenes.
What frames so different from Ozu’s visions. Bet just out in the countryside they unveil again, perfect opposite laid in perfect harmony, plus Tuna’s paramount harmonies, Japan is a complete triumph now of Land and Music.
