Far from Central Park
So… Sunday I made the trek… such as it was, from Ohio to San Diego. Freezing in Ohio… hot in Houston… temperate in San Diego. What a change. My friends at home in the Northeast were bracing for the big Winter Storm of 2015 while I was contemplating whether the minimal precip on the beach was worth daring. Wow… what a dilemma!

A little cloudy... hmmmmm...
Just marking a little time before the first Fur Peace Ranch On The Road classes at The Dana next Monday. Urban California, whether coastal or not… are another world for me. Yeah, I know… I lived here a long time ago… but it was a long time ago. I’m a country boy now. That said, I’m sure enjoying this climatic moment this morning.

The girls on the beach...
Well… time for a nice walk… more will be revealed.
Welcome to the family.
Peace

We are back to work today. I Hope you all are safe and warm. Today we have hot tuna tee shirt. Jorma tasty tea We have fur peace frisbee. And fur peace magnets. We are now official hot tuna fans. This makes us happy. Good times for sure.
Heavy snow in Norway too. Just seen “A Serious Man” by the Coen-Brothers. Great film indeed!
@John B
I am sorry. It is small but I am very fond of it!
The Hudson River is not a river, it is a estuary.
(I am off from work early because of heavy snow no working cell phone.
I am in my friend’s apartment across the street from the restaurant. She has nice lap top computer. These are new English words I learn today.)
@John B
And all this time, I’m learning English and I thought “a peninsula”
is a small penis! I have to stop learning Yiddish and English at the same time.
John B., you have a good sense of humor!
‘ It’s not an island…..it’s a peninsula.’
@phil zisook
Actually, it’s technically a ring, not a disc.
Frisbee being one of the only things that I can claim to know something about. Sorry to be so anal.
Aerobie, the astonishing flying disc!
welcome to Calif. Sorry about the little bit of rain…
@charles newman
Yup…..that song has been quite deeply stuck in my head….and I’m not even up in the Tri-State / New England area (NC Piedmont for me)…They must be hearing that one turned up to 11 right now up there
@Brett
I guess great minds think alike Brett. Based on the last two blog entries, the opening “All the leaves are brown, and the sky is gray” came to me and then all the rest.
California Dreaming….on a winter’s day
Happy pickin’ Jorma…..best to you….and the girls…..and all the FPR on the road staff

We dodged a bullet on the big snow storm but it’s still cold and that California sunshine and the coast looks pretty nice! Wish I was driving down the PCH listening to a little Sunny Day Strut 🙂
exactly one year ago today, registration was open FOR FPR songwriting!………HI, JOHN HURLBUT!!! HI, VANESSA!! Now this year, I say, thank god we purchased the new snow blower, cuz it is BAD ASS!!! hahahaha It’S the hog of the snow blowing world, I think, with not much certainty. I don’t know much about the snow blowing world. But, it seems bad ass. When my husband was using it for the first time ever, the stuff coming out of the chute looked like those snow guns on the mountain top. But, southern California is nice, too…. lalalalalalala. Great news, Jorma, I’m taking a fingerpicking class!!!!! I’ll be back!!~
