To get to SF... we went to Detroit...
Myron and I left Columbus early Thursday morning… went through Detroit and somehow wound up in San Francisco.

The Mifune Noodle House on the Restaurant Bridge...
My first stop after checking into the hotel was the Mifune in the Kintetsu Center. I’ve been eating here for almost forty years. Mmmmm… Tanin soba…
Then of course, one needs desert.

ONly at a Japanese ice cream shop...
Then on Friday… it was time to head down to the Mission for our acoustic gig at the Chapel.

New place for us... nice!

Now that's lighting...

A short but fun set… on glorious day in the park!

Thanks Warren!
Then it was time for the Ole Capt. (me) to head over to the Rooster Stage to pick Keep Your Lamps Trimmed & Burning with Larry and Teresa.

Larry and Teresa Git'r done!
Buddy Miller had graciously invited me to b a part of his Cavalcade Of Stars… so I got to play Blue Railroad Train and Sugaree with him and his amazing pals!

Yeah... some fun!
What a great time… then I had a little time to hang out.

David, me and Gillian

The American Dream!
Then it was time to start wrapping it up.

A fitting end to a fine day!
Now I’m going to write my set list for tonight’s show in Folsom at the Harris Center For The Arts.
Onward…
Great show in GG Park yesterday!
The electric trio is simply where it’s at.
Period.
Jack, in particular, was blowing minds right and left.
Jorma, what pedals were you using on the les paul stuff?
In particular, that NASTY good tone on “Bowlegged Women”?
Fender Deluxe Amp… up to eight
Dumkudo Pedal on the Green setting
That’s it…
Man, Burnett would have to have been a kick. Kind of like a Cooder in his attention to the roots.
@jim hitchcock
Yah Baby! The show at The Chapel was exquisite. Flawless sound. I got to sit front row far end to Jormas left side.
I got to see Jim Rowan, & T-Bone Burnett as well.
The Tuna Electric set was a thrill. A bit challenging to focus on the music with that many people moving about. The wind was blowing toward the stage causing some drop-outs of the sound. The boys delivered the goods, as always. Very enthusiastic crowd.
Now looking forward to Jorma in Santa Cruz!
I’m at home at a Tuna show.
So blessed.
Joey I’ll bet you had a fun time!
They the best roll a-rockin’ the West. Rock Them High Tuna Tonight.
