The woods... always the same... always different

The woods... always the same... always different

So we sold Hillside Farm… after a quarter of a century there. I’ve never been in one house so long… ever. Originally, we were just going to live there until we built something over at the FPR. Well, it took a little longer than we expected, but here we are. I’ll miss these woods… they will always be beautiful in my mind’s eye… but the forests in Bedford Township are no less magnificent!

We had a farm in Scipio Township

Like I told our daughter, we all have memories here… almost too many to hold, but we’ll make new ones!

Sunrise on the hill

When the Lord gets ready, you got to move!

The old pine trees will still grow

The old pine trees will still grow

People come and people go, but the earth endures!

These empty rooms once heard laughter...

The World Keeps Turning. Rival Sons, a damn good band with wings of steel. Jay Buchanan, hmm, – I wonder, is he in family with the great Roy Buchanan?

Thanks for the great show in Northhampton (as usual). You played one of my all time favs., Sea Child, doing all the guitar parts, even the electric parts on acoustic. Wonderful. I’ve looked for tabs for this song many times but without success and i’m too lazy to do it myself. Adversity spawn creativity, so i’m going to figure it out but if you can give me a chord chart it would help a lot. Thanks

The leaves leave, do come and are reborn
Oft times as a song, played
    If we listen
    Not the same, subtle
    but not the same
    And there are forests
    songs within that will change
    and houses are not homes
Lest all within our hearts are there.
So fill if you will, quickly
    New halls and kitchens
    Great and wee rooms
    may you make it home.

So another door opens… Best of luck with your move. Look forward to seeing you tonight in Mamaroneck. The last solo show for me, at The Turning Point Cafe some years ago, was one I will always remember, especially the Winin’ Boy Blues!

It’s tough leaving a place you’ve lived in a long time. A place that you’ve loved.
Last January, I left the apt. I grew up in as a boy, and later came back to for family, and by G-Ds’ will, got sober. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, leaving that place, but it was the only reason for me to stay in NY. My heart is in Ca.
So, you’re moving into a place on the FPR?
    THAT’S COOL.
Safe travels out there. Looking forward to seeing you in Santa Cruz in a couple weeks.
    Life is Good.
