A long day of flying yesterday… but at the end of the day… this…

Columbus heaves into view

A sight for sore eyes after more than three weeks…
Unparked the truck and drove home…
Today… relaxing as it snows some more… I love it!

Maverick and Izze watch Shrek...
Yeah… glad to be home!
Jorma does it all, for all of us.
It takes time out of his family-time and he still finds the time for blogging.
Nobody else, anywhere in the blog-o-sphere, opens himself up to engaging with their fans. Nobody else allows free-speech to prevail.
@Kevin Morgan
Yes, we all knew it was Jack. It’s a long show and by the time that award was announced, it was surprising:
“WHOA — THERE’S JACK!”@Jeff W
Some people smile with their mouth.
Others smile with their eyes.
Many smile with both.
Jack smiles with his whole face.
Considering that 24.95 million people were watching the show —
that’s some excellent smiling, Jack!
Something we can both agree on.
“Because it’s all about that bass, ’bout that bass…”
Jack was there – he really looked good! The best part of the show was the performance by The Eagles – Take It Easy!
No mistaking that smile — it was Jack! (Right?) On another pass moments later, the pan-camera operator came in tight and paused, however briefly, on someone I immediately recognized to be Marty. (That, or I have to curtail the hot chocolate after 9PM.) Neat, reddish-brown hair; tux; that face… or should I say that puss? (Get yer minds outta the gutter kids.)Had to be him. Priceless!
Oh, and Cap’n please accept my deep, heartfelt condolences. I only hope Signe and Paul had come to realized the influence they had on the many who proceeded them.
Oh, Jack — nice tux! Loooking goood!
Thanks Chuck. Always good to see you, too.
I know that The Grammys has a seating arrangement, putting the nominees in the front rows and the Lifetime Achievement award recipients on the aisles (for some
camera time).
Good to see Jack sitting there, representing the Airplane.@chuck newman
Welcome back home Jorma. Any chances that there are photos of that old Metro bread truck?
@Barbara Jacobs
Good to see you again Barbara. I saw that too.
Barbara – I thought it was Jack too
Man Cap. I just gotta say, you are the best blogger on the planet, just love reading your stuff, makes us all feel like we’re right there on the road with ya. Welcome home, congrats on Grammy Lifetime… K=i=
Jorma:
Was that Jack, sitting behind Meghan Trainor at The Grammys?
She got up when her award was announced and it sure did look like Jack, smiling
there.
Jorma, Big time congratulations for receiving the Lifetime Achievement award with Jefferson Airplane! Without any doubt your solo achievements also deserve a lifetime award and should also get one for all the Hot Tuna achievements too.
Yeah thats what what i was thinking also for you. About a year and a half ago you wrote about what the coming year( last year) would bring for you and it was pretty much spot on. Tuna shows, the Airplane material and then all of the solo shows. I think its just great for you. indeed, life is good. @Jorma
Some interesting event in the Bronx this Saturday

I thought I saw Jack sitting behind Meghan Trainor – was this the case?
It must be different for you being on the road alone eh Jorma ?
Hey John… of course it’s different. I’m the luckiest guy in the world… I get to play with truly great people… and I get to do what I started out doing, play solo, which I’ve been doing since 1959… Life is good.
If I may, what’s up with the Grammys? Will you all get some air time? A long overdue tribute, fer sure. m

there’s no place like home!!!
