So the flight from upper Michigan was long and involved… Three flights… three airports but finally safe and sound in Albuquerque where we rented cars and drove to Santa Fe. Lovely to get in in time for a great Mexican dinner and some much needed sleep. I was up at 0300 to make the flights out of Michigan.
Last night was the festival in Madrid.

We started driving towards Rifle, Colorado at 1000 and on the way we stopped at Poncha Springs for some Thai food. Go figure…

Tomorrow we play at the Ute Theater.
It was probably 90 degrees in the shade, dust devils were regularly blowing through and you guys had to stop at 9 but you put on an amazing show in Madrid. Thanks so much. I have a nice photo of you guys and the sunset.
FYI – the concert was at the Oscar Huber Memorial Ballpark. Built in 1920 for the local coal miners to play baseball instead of getting drunk, it was the first ballpark West of the Mississippi to have electric lights.

Hold it Peter… The song is in A Capo 2… which means it’s actually in B. I don’t have a guitar in my hand right now but I will tell you the chords as if the capo weren’t on the guitar. A, hammer on to D back to A, G, D Em repeat… That’s the essence of the lyrical part of the song. The little instrumental vignette is a 16 count finger picking trick that has no relation to the words…

I was going to reply to your last blog post, but it didnt seem appropriate. Today I feel the need to tell you thank you for your song Genesis. My wife and I are trying to work through things in our marriage and man, that song is killing me! I dont play guitar professionally, (but I’m not too bad)…we are going to get parts of the lyrics as tatooes this weekend. She is getting into the future we must cross and i am getting breathing felt like it was something new.
This might seem strange to ask, but i might as well try…would you have any charts or chords that you would be willing to share with me?
