Headin' out to grab some gone...

Selfie by Self

Yesterday was 38 degrees Fahrenheit here in bucolic Southeast Ohio… I spent some time night before last prepping my bike… tire pressure… suspension… registration, insurance… just in case I got a change to ride. Now 38 degrees is chilly in anybody’s book, but I have a fully faired bike with uppers and lowers, grip heaters and yes, a battery powered heated vest. With all that and a good full face helmet, I had a magnificent ride through Meigs and Athens County.

A great way to start the year.

Anytime you get a chance to ride and you don’t take it is one less ride you’ll have in your life.

A word to the wise is sufficient as my grandmother used to say.

Onward…

Have a great remunerative 2016 Jorma! The New Year started off with these two phenomenal Concerts available on the web (Westhampton plus Ridgefield) held in December by the Duo of the Wonders, never the music like this before, it’s a generous new year this one, still all is yet to come, daily followers tight to the light till it will be done. Tuna Zone A1. A lot to be grateful for gleaning into bright 2015, staunch launching pad for Hot Tuna, the Crack Band with Rock in hand.

Happy New Year All! I’m noticing only the Wanee Fest on the schedule for Electric Tuna. “Say it isn’t so” to borrow an expression. I have a few targeted shows, but no pure unadulterated PLAY AT FULL VOLUME FOR MAXIMUM EFFECT. Can you reassure me? Your Pal

Blessings in the new year to everyone
    Dear Jorma,
I noticed you will be helping Mr. Bromberg continue his birthday celebration up in Albany and I thought Mr Creach will be sprinkling extra special pixie dust on you guys. Get Larry to pick up his fiddle for a song and I bet you will either bring down the house or land over the rainbow.
    Peace
    Love All Ways

I looked on the Jorma/Hot Tuna websites and I see only 1 show on Long Island scheduled so far for this year – Port Washington – and it’s sold out. I hope you add some more shows to the schedule. I got spoiled last year – I saw you guys 4 times in 2015.

  18. Now the new year 2016 is upon us, and Finlandia Foundation NY Metro Chapter has been tossing around the idea,if not too late, when you are in this NY/NJ area in 2016, would you consider performing a benefit event (toward our upcoming 100th Anniversary celebration of Finlands Independence 2017)? Apparently NY chapter will be responsible for planning and funding a gala in 2017.
Being 2nd and 3rd generation Finnish American, our mission is to promote, and preserve our cultural heritage.
If you think something like this could work, we would love to have you. Any suggestions are welcomed. Kiitos!

    SWEEETTTT…..:-)
Weather was nice enough in my neck of the woods all the way up the Christmas Eve, first time in a very long time, now there is a foot and a half of that lovely white stuff on the ground so our year is done until spring.
Enjoy it for as long as you can, maybe while you are home you can brush up on a little Hamar…just sayin…
Be safe and “Always keep the rubber side down my brother”….

    😉

    That’s a great selfie, Jorma!

I didn’t know much about motorcycles before reading your blog.
    Then I read:
“The Vincent in the Barn: Great Stories of Motorcycle Archaeology”.
Add in, watching the television series ” Jay Leno’s Garage”.

One interesting thing leads to another, for anyone with intellectual curiosity.
