It’s all good. I got my tix in orchestra during the first minutes of the presale, after your giving us all the information! Was just curious about what came up afterwards. Looking forward to the show!

It’s the disgusting Ticketmaster/Live Nation monopoly. They have ridiculous fees and now they take the best seats and charge outrageous prices. Suggest you look at seats in LOGE, which is better than being in the back of the orchestra, which is under an overhang.

So “Been So Long” is the name of Jorma’s new book. That’s such a good name – probably one of Jorma’s favorite songs. It’s such a great song and the interplay between Jorma and Jack is so incredible. I can’t wait to read his book, being I was there for so many years. I can’t wait to hear his story in his words. Probably one of the most humble guys you’d ever want to meet – he is so nice. I can never thank him enough for all he’s done for me over the past 45 years. Jorma, you’re a good soul – thanks a million.

it seems it has been so long, since “Been So Long” has popped up on a play list. What a treat. It’s like getting your cake and being able to eat it to!

Back in the 70’s we used to hang out in the basement of the O’Connor house in Beverly. We called it The Rat Hole, after Jim O’Connor who was affectionately known as “The Rat” (not the phosphorescent one though)

We’d play Whist or poker until about 10:30 and then head out to the pubs along Western avenue. Of course, there was always music playing while we were gambling away our fortunes, and I had thrown on the Hot Tuna album. At the end of the song “Been So Long,” you play one of my all time favorite guitar rifts. For the longest time, I thought it was Jacks bass on that part!

I argued with my friend Jack that it was Cassidy and not Kaukonen playing that part. He picked the needle up about 10 times and put it back on that rift part. Jack finally pointed out a couple of bass notes in the background. (Jack played bass, so I guess he had an advantage) I imagine the record has some scratches now at that part, but at least he set me straight.

“down the streets we used to go…” yes, and hell yes

The tickets are called Platinum not Premium..Sorry

The prices on some orch. seats up front are called Premium. Seems like legal scalping to me..To bad HT does not have the fan ticketing anymore..

Is it just me or does the pricing of seats for the beacon show seem to be fluctuating wildly, by Ticketmaster?@Andy K

That Iris Dement is one heck of a guitar playing singer/songwriter. Good to know we share that feeling. I imagine she’s perfect for listening to while passing some tour bus miles. Crazy weather, crazy roads…can’t imagine handling a tour bus through it. What an adventure.

Holy Crap! How many other musicians play 28 songs in two sets? The way you do it and how you do it is second to none. Thanks for all you do!

They used to call James Brown “The Hard Working Man in Show Business.” I think you are presently assuming that mantle.

Love you Jorma, been a big fan since the early 70’s, honored to meet you a few yrs back and you and Jack were kind enough to sign some albums for me I cherish them. Love your newest solo album too, come back to Springfield,MO area real soon please. Sir , if you don’t mind I have a question If I may be so bold..I see your daily set lists and I have wondered why Emb.Journey is played so rare…are you tired of it? I know all of us fans love it to death and it is such a big part of our lives and musical history,. seems you should play it moreoften like some of the others you play often. Not griping, just wondering as a fan..I know I missed it a couple yrs ago when you came to town…. never get tired of hearing it, it is classic…you may be tired of playing it though.. I’m just a fan wonderin…Stay safe in your travels, praying for Pomeroy, man can’t believe that river rose like that and it isn’t even spring yet.

I get it when you compare Jorma to an old world prophet – I call him The Psychedelic Troubadour traveling from town to town singing his songs and imparting his wisdom and prose. To know him and his music is to love him and his music. He is incredible.

Great show in San Antonio! Beautiful venue and our first time visiting the Lone Star state! Found the people to be more than friendly. Also delighted to see a string of west coast electric shows in September. You guys are on fire!

Psyched for Melbourne tomorrow…Jorma is like the old prophets with a mobile “booth” carrying him from town to town…

This crazy summer-like winter we’ve been having is holding so Jorma will get a taste of the winter tropics…

See you in Melbourne, did the rescheduled Dead and Co. last night and just getting too old to run up to Ponte Vedre today. One of the most beautiful rides is just leaving Ponte Vedre hall on A1A and driving south to St.Augustine, well worth the diversion.

Dead and Co really did a nice tribute to the Stoneman Douglas kids

    https://www.jambase.com/article/dead-company-meets-honors-stoneman-douglas-students-sunrise

It was the first time in awhile that I passed the school on the way to the show, the school lot was still filled with police cars and flashing blue lights. I lived across the street for 15 years, my daughter was an MSD cheerleader, I had seen the coach at all the games. Very emotional couple of weeks and you gotta love the way those kids are speaking out, brings me back to the days of Kent State and protesting when I was in High School in the Bronx

Music has the power to heal and Bobby and Co. did a great job making Coral Springs/Parkland seem like a small town, hope everyone in Pomeroy stayed high and dry.
