We’ve had so much going on at the Ranch non-stop since the season opened that it’s nice to take a little break. Of course, I’m up here in Thornville, Ohio for Dark Star’s Jubilee… so it’s not like I’m doing nothing. My daughter just finished seventh grade with straight A’s. She didn’t get that from me… that’s for sure. Anyway, last weekend at the Fur Peace Ranch it was Pat Donohue, G.E.Smith and myself. Pat was the Big Dog on stage that night and G.E. and myself went on first.

The week went by in the link of an an eye. Today is my daughter’s last day of school…and we are up here in Hebron getting ready to head over to Legend Valley. First a trip to the Lakeside diner in Buckeye Lake.

Onward!
Dark Star’s Jubilee… what about a re-release of Jack Bonus? He was a real Hobo Star
Another great night of music at FPR last Saturday. First time seeing Pat Donohue…he was super! And, the incomparable G.E. Smith never fails to enthrall with his playing and background stories. Thank you Jorma, John, V, and the entire staff at FPR.
Your vitality and dedication to your family as well as your art are an inspiration. I hope your train keeps a rolling way on down the line.
On a different note, I ran across a quote by Mark Twain that is probably more relevant today than it was when he spoke it (though it is also an excellent example that human nature doesn’t change). The man’s prescience blows me away – read his autobiography. The quote:
“It ain’t what you don’t know that gets you in trouble. It’s what you know for sure that just ain’t so.”
Onward.
Right on Jorma. Hot Tuna rocks on! Have a great weekend with the boys.
