Breakfast in Riverhead...
Foto by Jorma Kaukonen
A long drive to get here from Richmond, but richly rewarded by a breakfast at Star Confectioners in Riverhead. This little town has still managed to hang onto a lot of small town charm, and I’m all about small towns.

The Suffolk Theater is always a blast, and the folks didn’t let me down… of course I didn’t let them down either.

It is always more than a pleasure and an honor to play Levon’s joint. We shared some good times together and I know I’m not the only one who misses him!

A fine place to end a month long tour. Back at home the girls are off on Spring Break and I’m hanging with the dogs. I’ll miss the routine of the gig but it’s great to be sleeping in my own bed.
More will be revealed..

Jorma, one of my restaurant friends went to riverhead show and he has compliments. It is a nice drive with a good fun destination to see your show.
@Jim Hitchcock
No I haven’t seen the movie yet. But after hearing the back story from Jorma – I just have to see it. Thanks for the heads up.
Sounds like i missed a great show in Riverhead !! Looking forward to the beacon on Thanksgiving eve..Enjoy being home Jorma. You are amazing !!
Great show at Riverhead, Jorma. Glad you enjoyed yourself as well. See you, ” next time,” and, ” somewhere,” for sure.
There was a Friends episode on tv yesterday . The finale episode .
I always watch till the end to hear one of your best songs ever!
Riverhead was perfection! Thanks Jorma !
That blue heaven pic looks kinda like the set at Main Street in Tomball. I know one thing, watching those pickin’ fingers work hyp-mo-tized me into thinkin’ maybe I’d entered the pearly gates a time or two.
@johno
Have you and your wife seen the Johnny Depp movie Transcendence? There’s a certain bit of vinyl that has a small role…
Yo Jim… Oh yeah… Wally Pfister, the director of that movie, honored me by making Genesis a relevant part of his film. As for knowing, these are deals hammered out well in advance of production. We pitch things all the time and nothing ever happens. This time it did without the pitch. Thanks for asking… and Wally, on the slim chance you would ever read this, thanks again!
Great thought to end the tour, Living in the Moment. Thanks Jorma, enjoy the dogs,that’s what they teach us
Thanks for the great evening at Levon’s – glad you made it home safely!
Thanks again Jorma for coming to Riverhead. It was a lot of fun. Great show and you played my wife’s favorite song “Genesis”. Get some rest.
Welcome home Captain.
Wow! I might have to meander my way down from Boston for the next Long Island shows… woof, quite a setlist there! Jorma, you remain a great hero of mine and your words here at the blog have always been a pleasure and privilege to read… Living life right– you know it when you see it, and my friend, it is always good to see you! Up a little too late, but happy to say hello for the first time here… great stuff.
Fine work Jorma. Enjoy the homestead.
