After the final weekend at the Fur Peace Ranch and the cool show Hot Tuna did at the Station, we all saddled up and got on board the bus and headed up to New York for our Beacon show.

It was our honor and pleasure to have our old pal Steve Kimock on board for this, our only electric outing on this run. I know the gig being the day before Thanksgiving made it difficult for some folks to get to the show, but that’s the date they had for us and indeed, it was better than nothing!

Cool, but better with people!

Soundcheck was smooth as silk and the show was butter!

A more than satisfying week. Tonight the Acoustic Duo will be up at the Waterville Opera House in Waterville.
It’s cold up here, but we’re smiling!
Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!

Wondering if anyone on here is attending Dead and Company’s Playing in the Sand? Last year on Friday night we had a guest band- Michael Franti and Spearhead.This years special guest has not yet been announced. I ve just looked at Hot Tuna’s schedule for Jam in the Sand and see they are off Friday night and nearby! I say the stars are aligned….
@johno
Totally agree just awesome how tight band is
Best part of show …Jorma doing pedals/ auto waah and stomping on pedals feedback stuff
Talking bout you …. nice guitar breaks etc also bow legged was cool thx J K and Steve and jack just awesome!!
Starting off with True Religion I knew we were in for a special night. Going straight into I See The Light and Ode to Billy Jean I knew we were into a great show. It was a Beacon show and they are different than any other show throughout the year. And throwing in Roads & Roads & Wolves and Lambs was a treat. It was the majestic, old world Beacon Theater and Hot Tuna. One of the best shows of the year. Bar none.

It was one of the best wasn’t it John ?@johno
The band sounds better then ever Jorma and thanks for a great show at the Beacon on Wednesday night.
Because the show was the night before the Thanksgiving Day Parade all the balloons had a lot of the streets around the upper west side closed down. Had to park on W 96th street and grabbed a cab. It was cold outside but Hot Tuna warmed things up fast. What a show!
Especially nice crowd, too.
Big medicine, show was. For me, “Walking Blues” especially was quite the tonic. Helped me forget sorrows for a while. Nearest and dearest leaving.
Great being at the Beacon on Wednesday night. Day before Thanksgiving in the city made it a little tougher, but haven’t missed an NYC fall/winter show in many moons. It has been a tradition for us and always great to see old friends. Jorma, Jack and Justin didn’t disappoint! Walking Blues one of my highlights. Great energy in the theater. Happy Thanksgiving indeed!
