I’ve been playing McCabe’s since the 80’s and I still love this venue! It’s a great place to play music and a great place to lisen to music!

Then it was up to San Francisco. David Wolfe and I took a day to record five new songs for Breakdown Way and I had a moment to go to North Beach and have a cup of coffee across the street from where Paul Kantner lived.

The afternoon of the first Sweetwater Gig I met up with Steve Parish and Herbie Herbert and we chewed the fat for 90 minutes or so for Steve’s Sirius/XM show.

Hey, Steve's got my book!

Talking with Steve and Herbie sure brought back a lot of great memories.

I was at the McCabe’s early gig 2.March 2019 and your show was like a homecoming for me. Circa 1989 at the Stone Pony was the last time I saw Jorma (with Jack as Hot Tuna). I was in bliss when you played Embryonic Journey. For me, that’s where it all began with you, Jorma. Kiitos!

Holy donuts, Sweetbac! No dunkin’? What you thinkin’?

I saw Paul Kantner many a mornin’ at café Trieste…his coffee, almond croissant and ever present cigarette…I was a bit taken back to find out he was an unabashed “dunker”…I mean, the guy who wrote “Crown of Creation” and “Blows Against The Empire” dunked his breakfast Danish in his coffee…I then realized we’re ALL mortal men when it comes down to it. I’ll be in seclusion.

Jorma thanks for posting the setlists of all your shows on this blog. I really appreciate all the time and effort you do to keep it interesting and current.
It’s great knowing what you’re playing as you move around the country.
Great encore at Sweetwater ‘Ain’t In No Hurry’. One of my new favorites.

Brief article regarding film on photographer Jim Marshall. Looks like Jorma was interviewed for it.
    It’s a beautiful day.

I was in SF back in September of 2017 and made a point of going to North Beach to hang at the legendary City Lights Bookstore and get an espresso at Cafe Trieste in honor of Mr. Kantner. There was a nice little mural of Paul somewhere nearby. And one of Janis as well. Trieste is the real deal. Just regular guys serving the good stuff. I actually got a Limonata because it was screamingly hot that day.

When can we look forward to Jorma having his own XM channel?

Love that True Religion opener… Makes one think… Great finger picking pattern, bouncy if one wants it to be… Someone has to drive the bus… Thumb does a good job, but oh what a “message”.
Wonder why Tue Religion is often an opener.. Saw it open at FP during a Double Dose weekend.. Crushing.. Powerhouse Trio, w Justin on drums. Hallelujah Hallaloo

That is an awesome trip. It really is one of the coolest placed on earth.

Remember to watch your step (especially while taking pix.)!

I see you played “Whining Boy Blues” at the Church…I heard you sing a pretty salty versions of that old Jelly Roll song at the Stanhope House. See Ya soon, DennisK.
