Yep back to Red Rocks opening for our pals, Dark Star Orchestra! We were here a couple of years ago with Tedeschi/Trucks and it was more than awesome to be here again!

What an awesome place.

The weather turned with some much needed rain.

But then ended in time for our set.

In spite of the weather delay our Dark Star Brothers and Sisters gave us our full hour… We had a blast! After the gig I was joined on the bus by a gaggle of Fur Peace Ranchers and we got to chew the fat for a while… Awesome. Then we saddled up and headed north for Billings, Montana.

I believe this Allman set was with HT as headliner.

Just my perspective about being on the road. As a fan now for almost 50 years, I have gone to hundreds of Tuna shows over the years and an grateful that we can still do this together. Who could have imagined back in 1970 at age 14 this length of longevity and judging by the last few shows at the Keswick and at Stroudsberg you guys still got the goods. There have been many many road trips to shows which in turn have exposed me to many fascinating places, people and experiences. I have traveled with wives, friends and at times alone to shows but look at this as just an added bonus to the music. I suppose that traveling so much as a necessity for live performing could become a drag but a Tuna show is still a great incentive for a road-trip. Although the trips today are shorter and less frequent they are non the less still exciting. See you next time down the road.
