Doing what we must...
Selfie by Vanessa Kaukonen
Saturday morning… our daughter Izze is still asleep. (Every night is movie night here. Night before last was Dogma. Last night was Inception.) Nessa and I climbed in my truck and we headed into town to Farmer’s Market on State Street. I’ve take some motorcycle rides and gone out to fill up the truck when cheap diesel manifested itself, but this was the first time I was around other people besides my immediate family. Interesting to say the least. It was more than orderly with everyone keeping their distance.

Good food, good meat. Getting late...

Nessa is a vegetarian but she still knows where to find the good stuff… and this is the place for good stuff. Today, steaks… and from another booth, lamb chops. One of the many blessings we get from living here (aside from not being surrounded by people in times like these) is that ‘farm to table’ is a way of life not an expensive specialty. Moving right along, masks or not, we all seem to recognize each other. I ran into Nessa’s sister Ginger in time for a cheery ‘Hello!’

We've got to start meeting like this...

Shopping done, we stopped by the Donkey where I got my usual double shot of espresso. Gotta support the places that are still open!
OK… tonight… Another free streaming show from the Fur Peace Ranch at eight o’clock.

Thanks again for the brightest spot in an otherwise long brain numbing week. The rendition of “Angel From Montgomery” was especially tasty. Very moving.
Loved the Q & A again as well as the brain teasers. Learned a few things. Very interesting as always.
The video turned from very crisp, as it was last week, to kind of hazy about half way through. Was wondering if anyone else experienced that or was something in my connection?
Jorma and Vanessa:
Thank you very much for the concert last night. It was most enjoyable.

Thanks for the second Saturday night live online show. What a treat! Just to keep it authentic, at the most poignant, delicate, quiet moments I screamed out “JOR-MAAAH!!!!” at the top of my lungs. Hey, I’m from Queens.

Jorma,family & friends. I’ve been going to
Tuna shows since early 70”s. NY Academy of music late shows. My wife & son have joined me on the tuna journey. This May our son will be 20 yrs cancer free & hopefully be able to get married out in Long Island. Also hope to to see Tuna in Red Bank in July. PEACE OUT
A very moving performance this evening Mr. Kaukonen.
Thank you ever so much.
We out in Tuna land need this more than ever.
Hi Jorma, Happy Passover.
Last Saturday night was so healing for me as my sweet dad had just died of Covid. A WW2 vet and a biology teacher for 46 years, he taught us hundreds of kids to be kind and respect all kinds of life. Thank you again for your gifts.
If your list of requests for tonight includes Genesis, I will be listening and praying for his soul.
Best wishes to Vanessa and Izzie.
Your friend, Sally
Double Rock Us All Tall Tonight, Jorma!
Double espresso at Donkey. It doesn’t get better than that.
Glad to see you guys taking all the appropriate precautions. Dogma, one of my favorites and how appropriate between the debacle in Wisconsin, Easter and the COVID apocalypse. I wonder what George Carlin would have to say about all this ?
Great run of albums on Relix records, I suppose we will have to wait for a midnight show for the version of Winin’ Boy Blues from Magic. Looking forward to tonight and maybe an Easter sunrise ride. Stay Safe everybody
Stay Safe & have some fun doing it Jorma & family .Loved the show last week & cant wait for tonight ! Thanks Jorma !! Peace & love to my H.T Family ! This to shall pass .
Looks like they backed up Lock-in
We’ll be caught up and now we will get tickets.
Mr Doyle..This surgery will correct your guitar playing…It is a secret procedure learned in Tibet…OK doc…If you could tweek it in the direction of Lightnin Hopkins that’s what I’d prefer..
If you gas-up with the excellent cheap gas prices caused by the social distancing remember to Clorox wipe the pump handle and your hands…It’s a transfer point…
@Pete
Oh and Jack, “A vast yea Mate” Perfect touch.
Oh, but I might commit larceny for il doppio espresso ‘bout now.

Hi Jorma, Nessa and Izze
Can’t wait for tonight’s offering. So many shows over the years here in New Jersey and the tri-state area I’ve attended. Last weeks performance was the most special of the whole lot. You played the Newton Theatre here back in 2015 with Barry and I had commented that you guys were like a blooming flower. The positive vibe is quite evident and healing in ways where words are not even required other than Thank You and the Crew.
Peace Love Health
Tough to beat local Spring Lamb
Looking forward to Fur Peace live from Miegs county tonight
Tending to cattle and bees today.
