Well… much to my surprise, our friend Mike put me up for a Hometown Hero Award on WSAZ, our local NBC affiliate and they picked me. I mean heck, we do what we can for our community and the Quarantine Concert Series is ongoing but there’s jot much heroism involved in that. Still and all, I humbly accepted the honor on the behalf of all of us here at the Fur Peace Ranch.
It’s nice to be a part of a community. I never really had that before we moved her in 1991. We are blessed!
Now… Saturday the 14… tomorrow that would be, we have a real treat from the vault!

Yeah folks… this was one rockin’ show… plus you get to hear me play Season Of The Witch with the guys. This might be the loudest show we’ve ever had at the Ranch… and that includes Tuna!
Getting chilly out… it’s still fall, but it didn’t feel like it today.
Well… I’ll be teaching tomorrow but I’ll ‘see’ you all on the feed.
Stay well!
If the Red Bank show happens I will be there and will be wearing my official Hot Tuna covid 19 precautionary safety mask…โฆ as for Governor Knucklehead . I will look for you Ed. Stay safe and may God bless.
Amen, brother. My mom was an Army nurse in WWII, and among other duties, they put her on a bus and drove them thru Nagasaki after the bomb went off (see clip, below). Now, some folks are even too proud to mask up to protect themselves and each other. Is it the world changing or just the people in it?

If our governor here in the Garden State behaved the way some governors do, Jorma wouldn’t even think of coming here, RV or not. Go back and look at the Veterans’ Day posts. Think about what those people – people like my Dad – were asked to do. Compare that with what we’re being asked to do. I think we can handle it. Peace.
Congrats! Roz and I enjoyed particularly enjoyed the show last Saturday – in our respective abodes I might add.
So now we read that Ticketmaster may force those of us who use their ticketing service to prove that we have taken the COVID vaccine. When will it stop ? Your guess is as good as mine but you can be certain that when COVID goes down the “Memory Hole”there will be something else to fear right behind it. Our governor here in the Garden State has declared that if you must celebrate Thanksgiving it is preferable to do so alone or have each guest sit in a separate room. Taking their mask off only when taking a forkful of turkey or cranberry sauce. No more then ten persons per house. I kid you not. Casinos in Atlantic City are going full tilt though. Churches synagogues and mosques are almost certain to be restricted in their attendance numbers. If the shows come off in Red Bank next month I will be there but my confidence level is going down daily.
Been listening to your albums and just ordered one for my daughter and her boyfriend. They live in Seattle and she is in the middle of the pandemic running clinics for Harborview Hospital for the homeless and women. They both have been in bands for a long time. She grew up listening to your HOT TUNA albums. I believe the song “Death has no Mercy” appears to be a really poignant song nowadays. Take care all! By the way, she is a Finn also!
Hi Debbie
Kiitos to your daughter and welome…
Jorma
Hey, Skippyy Spence won that award in 1971!
The beard is definitely starting to get a bit on the long side, Jorma. Is this your quarantine beard, or just inertia?
Youโve got to pick up every stitch
Congratulations for well deserved recognition. Always nice when the home folks show appreciation for their own.
I gotta throw this out for humor, not politics, as Jorma has commented before on Texasโ Lt. Governor. Olโ Dan โDuty to Dieโ Patrick offered a $1,000,000 reward paid from his campaign fund for information leading to any voter fraud arrest and conviction. The Lt. Governor of Pennsylvania, John Fetterman, promptly forwarded charges brought against a Pennsylvania Republican arrested attempting to vote for his deceased mother as claim for the prize. Of course, being the chickenshit he is, Dan ainโt gonna pay. You just really canโt make this stuff up!
Tonight me and my buddy Woody were supposed to be at the Ranch for an Electric show..Hope we can be there for the make up show Nov. 2021..Well the Q concert tonight will help..
Congrats Captain.

Season of the Witch: ultra-cool. With a wah-wah?
Jorma: You have always been open and upfront about your own issues. But for decades, your music and your craft have helped people (like me) to cope with what life throws at them. This award is yet further affirmation of what a fundamentally kind, decent, humane, and honorable person you are. Congratulations!
Jorma, you are a true American hero.
You’ve been my hero for a long time.
You’ve shaped my imagination to be who I am. You helped big time to inspire my recovery, and my life is so good now, in a big way that I can help others too.
Thank you.
I heard you talking about possibly some southern shows.
I’ll be waiting in Fla. โ&๐
Donโt underestimate the impact of the quarantine shows. There certainly is heroism in what you all are doing for those that have one positive thing to look forward to in these troubled times! Congratulations the honor is well-deserved and the community is far reaching. Thanks and best wishes to you and jack and your families!
