John and I play All Along The Watchtower

Were my mom still of this earth she would have been 110 years old today. Born June 12, 1910 she walked across most of the century with very long strides indeed and along the way touched many lives. I hope that at the end of her life (and Dad’s too) she could rest knowing that her kids would be all right. I’m sorry my kids Izze and Zach never got to meet their paternal grandparents. I’m sorry Mom and Dad never got to meet them but time is a finite commodity.

I read this poem for Mom before I started my little lunchtime gig.

In Many Houses

In many houses

all at once

I see my mother and father

and they are young as they walk in

Why should my

tears come,

to see them laughing

That they cannot

see me

is of no matter:

I was once

their dream:

now

they are mine.

Do much enjoyment for Amy & I during last night’s show. Bless you for your generosity. Great Divide caught me by surprise, Flying Clouds, Sugaree was great.
I’m sure he knows, But tell Hurl how much we all love him and his music.

Hi Jorma, You briefly mentioned last night the show Boardwalk Empire. I worked on it as a set builder. Retired now after 40 years of building sets in NY so you have seen plenty of my work..Goodfellas,Sopranos,Scent of a Woman, yada yada…Great show to work on,the sets were very detailed and the scenic artists did some crazy amount of murals on the walls and ceilings of the brothel set..To bad it wasnt seen very clear because it was shot very dark,I suppose that would be the way you would see such a space back then without modern lighting..I have been enjoying your work for almost 50 years ,glad to hear you enjoyed mine..Steve Buscemi is from Valley Stream only a few minutes away from where the Rev. Gary Davis is buried..Everyones got to be from somewhere..Thanks for # 11..Looking forward to seeing you and Jack back together..

    Dear Capitan,

The poem really moved me, very nice! It’s great to see Vanessa, Izzy and Myron there on the porch. But it makes me miss you all and the ranch even more. Looking forward to #11.
